Visitors to IMI Precision Engineering’s
booth can experience various fluid and
motion control technologies through a
highly interactive display. The company
is transforming its IMI Norgren product
range by launching a new generation of
3 platform pneumatic products.
ISOLine, an advanced range of ISO
standard pneumatic cylinders offers
improved performance and a ‘fit and
forget’ system that adjusts the cylinder
cushioning to changing loads. A new
generation of flange valves is being
added to the IMI Buschjost range. The
valve piston features a proven Labyrinth
technology that makes it robust enough
to withstand surges in back pressure.

Energy and data
transmission
The single-cable technology can
contribute greatly to save material
costs and space, by achieving power
supply and data transmission through
one single cable. Kübler’s single-cable
technology is based on the proven
RS485 hardware architecture - this
architecture is a widely established
standard in many frequency converters.
The interface is fully digital,
open-source for the sensor and the
drive system, SIL3 - capable and
perfectly suited for dynamic axes with
very high accelerations, uniform
speed control and best positioning
accuracy possible. Kübler encoders
with the single-cable technology are
ready for Industry 4.0.

Baumüller’s servo converters
talk Powerlink
Baumüller, is now offering its servo
converter series ‘b maXX’ with a
certified powerlink interface. The
series consists models such as b maXX
2 500, 3 300, 4 400 and 5 000, all of
which are now available with a
certified Powerlink interface. In
addition to EtherCAT, Baumüller also
supports powerlink and standard
Ethernet as well as fieldbus systems,
such as Sercos, EtherNET/IP, CANopen,
ProfiNet IRT and Varan. With
the software modules from Baumüller,
mechanical engineers and machine
users benefit from pre-programmed
comprehensive features, which
simplify the commissioning of its
servo converters on powerlink
networks considerably and thus help
achieve a faster time-to-market and
high level of error security.
