WE WORK HANDBALL
Series of events that include workshops lectured by representatives
of the EHF and the EHF Women’s Handball
Board. They are to encourage and teach participants that are
searching for their place into the handball society.
WE SUPPORT HANDBALL
Series of stories for the partner companies, equipment suppliers
and sponsors that reveal the dedication, professionalism
and love for the sport. They are to be presented as
“heroes without capes”.
WE TRAVEL HANDBALL
The Women’s National Teams of Slovenia, Macedonia and
Montenegro, together with some of the best clubs from the
countries, start a social media campaign/challenge where
they record some of the most interesting inside moments
of the traveling to play a match. Social media campaign that
encourages players from smaller clubs Europe-wide to do
the same, while compete in the challenge. This spreads the
message that handball is a fun thing to do, while promoting
the movement and the Championship itself.
Several more concepts like WE WIN HANDBALL (focusing on the competition), WE CELEBRATE HANDBALL
(focusing on different reasons for celebration through handball) are to be presented in the future accordingly.
All these events have the promotion of Women’s handball as their focus, creating the image of the Euro and
creating role-models that people would want to watch playing in their own cities and countries. The Spectators
concept and the Promotion and Marketing concept are in a close correlation, as they are the projects that will
complete the image of the Championship we seek as organizers and hosts. These events, as they are to be happening
more often as the Championship comes closer, have a goal to raise awareness of the size of the event
that is to be organized here.
First Steps
The first activities related to the promotion of the host cities and the Championship itself, are already scheduled.
On 12 th of January 2018, the majors of the host cities of the Championship in Slovenia, Macedonia and Montenegro
will attend a meeting promote the tournament, as progressive cooperation and involvement in the organization
of the biggest handball event in Europe is already agreed.
Trophy Tour
The Trophy Tour is to start 12 months prior to the beginning of the event. Followed by the official mascot, the
Trophy Tour will get around all historically biggest Women’s handball centers per country. Promo matches will
be organized that will include local legends to perform promoting the Championship. More details to be decided
in the later stages.
