Frontal Head Restraints
Simpson’s Hybrid (Pro & Sport Series) Head and Neck Restraints
are FIA 8858-2010 Approved. Designed to offer better all-round
protection, it has a lower profile than other FHR’s on the
market hence maximizing comfort and manoeuvrability
entering and exiting the competition vehicle.
Additional features include;
• Suitable for use with all standard FHR posts
• M61 Quick Release tether kits available which allow the
wearer to release the restraint by a simple pull of a cord
• More comfortable for female users and ‘larger’ men
• No special seat or harnesses required
Hybrid Sport
Constructed from a DuPont carbon / polymer mix
it has a sleek low profile with defined wings for
harness containment. Its sliding multi-tether system
enhances side to side movement and field of vision.
Including all hardware the Sport (Medium) weighs in
at only 930 grams.

Device is one of the lightest devices
available on the market today.
A 30 degree medium XLT device weighs just
464grms including the tethers.
Whilst a medium 20 degree weighs
an impressive 650grms. Schroth’s
latest in Carbon Fibre technology
mean these amazing weight
reductions can be achieved whilst
maintaining comfort and fit.
Supplied with Vision Advantage sliding

of the most popular FHR Devices.
A Medium sized 20 degree version
weighs 700grms which includes
the sliding tethers. The Pro Device
also has the widest range of angles
available on the market. Comes
supplied complete with shoulder
pads and carry bag.
HANS ® Adjustable Rake
FHR Device
An innovative solution for competitors using
their FHR device in different vehicles with differing
seat angles. This adjustable FHR device can be
set at any angle from 10 to 40 degrees, in 5
degree increments. This means the optimum
angle can easily be achieved for the best level
of comfort when strapped in the vehicle. This
adjustable FHR device comes complete with
sliding tethers to further increase comfort and
movement when driving.
Available in two sizes. Medium for neck sizes up
to 17” and Large size for 17” (43cms) upwards.
Fully FIA Homologated to 8858-2010 Standard.
Weighs only 970grms.
HANS ® Quick Release
Tether System
Allows the user to quickly release

All Schroth FHR Devices are available in two sizes.
This is determined by your neck / shirt collar size. Medium FHR for
neck sizes 15” to 18” (38-46cms) and Large FHR for 18” (46cms) upwards.
The angle of FHR is determined by the approximate recline of your seating
position. Most popular is 20° as most saloon ‘bucket’ type seats are 20° recline.
Single Seater and Sports Cars would generally require the more reclined 30° FHR.

Schroth Vision Advantage
Sliding Tethers
These tethers can be retro-fitted to an FHR
/ HANS ® device to enable greater freedom
of movement when in use. Schroth Medium
and Large FHR devices are supplied as
standard with 18” tethers. Competitors using
an open face helmet where the FHR posts
are slightly further back will
require a 17” tether.
