Lifeline Zero 3620
Extinguisher Systems
Following the successful
introduction of the Lifeline Zero 3620 fire
suppression system, Lifeline has launched the Zero 3620
Firemarshal, a further development of the original system,
designed to meet the increased demand as more categories
are required to use systems approved to the FIA 8865
suppression standard. This new standard is now mandatory
in WRC from 2016 and for all R5, S2000 and T1 vehicles in
2017. It remains a recommendation for all FIA categories
and is scheduled for adoption by FIA GT categories in 2018.

Fire Extinguisher Servicing & Refills
Merlin Motorsport’s fully trained technicians are
authorised by both Lifeline and SPA Design to
service their Fire Extinguisher systems.
We have a fully equipped workshop at our Castle Combe
Circuit base where services can normally be undertaken
whilst you wait.
Generally for a Mechanical extinguisher it will take up to
1 hour and an Electrical system can take up to 3 hours
depending on whether the system has been discharged and
will require the firing head to be rearmed.
Alternatively you can send us your extinguisher and we will
endeavour to service it and returning to you within 24 Hours
of us receiving it.
If you are unsure which service option you require please
ring or email with the bottle size and whether it is a
Mechanical or Electrical system and we will confirm the
appropriate service option.
To comply with MSA regulation Fire Systems must be
checked and serviced every two years. On completion of
the service a new date label is applied making it valid for
competition for a further 2 years.
Fire extinguisher bottles older than 10 years cannot be
serviced.
PLEASE NOTE YOUR FIRE EXTINGUISHER WILL NOT PASS
SCRUTINEERING IF THE SERVICE DATE HAS EXPIRED.
