Merlin Mild Steel Mufflers
These are additional mufflers that fit on
the end of an exhaust system to help a
vehicle meet the noise limits for a track day.
The amount of noise reduction cannot be
estimated; all cars are different but we have
seen reductions of up to 9dB but in some
cases there is no effect. The end cap is
secured with 4 spot welds and can be removed
for repacking. 4 inch dia 8 inch long.

Racing Silencers
Silencers designed for
competition use where there is a
need to meet noise limits. As silencers
degrade with use the end caps can be
removed to allow repacking. Outer 6" dia
stainless steel case available in four
lengths and mild steel end caps in
three sizes: 2 1 /8", 2 3 /8" or 2 1 /2" OD.
Not suitable for road use.
Available in 10 sizes:
1 7 /8", 2", 2 1 /8", 2 ¼",
2 3 /8", 2 ½", 2 5 /8",
2 ¾", 2 7 /8", 3" OD.

Aluminium Glass Cloth
Woven fibreglass insulation with aluminium facing.
The aluminium reflects the heat and the woven
fibreglass provides the insulation. Use contact
adhesive to fix to panels or lockwire or cable ties for
fixing the cloth to pipes
and cables.
