Calling All Vendors!<br />

The 2 nd Annual Mother’s Day Market & Car Show presented by Cypress<br />

Springs FFA Booster Club will be held on Saturday, April 21, <strong>2018</strong><br />

between 9 AM-5 PM & Sunday, April 22, <strong>2018</strong> between 10 AM-4 PM. This<br />

event will be advertised in various media outlets. We are also working<br />

on entertainment and radio spots to generate business and excitement<br />

this year. Indoor booths are $110 and outdoor booths are $100. All<br />

proceeds will benefit the Cypress Springs FFA students in attending<br />

state convention, competitions and creating scholarships for graduating<br />

seniors. The event is held at the CFISD Exhibit Center at 11206 Telge Road,<br />

Cypress, TX 77429, ¼ mile north of Hwy 290. For additional information,<br />

Call For Artists: Bayou City Art<br />

Festival Memorial Park <strong>2018</strong><br />

Bayou City Art Festival, produced by Art Colony Association, Inc. (ACA),<br />

is inviting artists from around the country to submit applications and<br />

have the opportunity to showcase their art at the nation’s premier spring<br />

outdoor fine art event Friday-Sunday, March 23-25, <strong>2018</strong>.<br />

ACA produces Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park in the spring and<br />

Bayou City Art Festival Downtown in the fall. Now entering its 47 th year,<br />

ACA has provided a venue for over 20,000 artists to showcase their<br />

work to thousands of art lovers from all over the world. Patrons have<br />

the opportunity to personally meet the artist, view original works and<br />

purchase world class art. The festival benefits local non-profits and<br />

features music, food, beverages, entertainment, a Children’s Creative<br />

Zone and much more for people of all ages to come and enjoy the city<br />

and the festival.<br />

Twice a year, over 1,000 qualified applicants from 19 different disciples<br />

submit their applications to be reviewed by the ACA jurors. For each<br />

festival, a new juror panel is invited and consists of artists, collectors<br />

and industry professionals. The panel of five to seven jurors are selected<br />

based on their specific interests, professional knowledge and background<br />

with the festival. Only 300 artists will be selected to exhibit at the <strong>2018</strong><br />

Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park. Cash Prizes are awarded for “Best<br />

in Show,” second and third, as selected by on-site judges. Ribbons are<br />

awarded for “Best Booth” and all winners receive jury exempt status for<br />

two years as well as priority booth placement.<br />

Shield Bearer Running for Hearts<br />

5K Family Fun Run and Walk<br />

The Shield Bearer Running for Hearts 5K Family Fun Run and Walk will<br />

take place on April 7, <strong>2018</strong>, 7-11 AM, at Windwood Church at 10555<br />

Spring Cypress Road in Houston, Texas. This family friendly event will<br />

feature a 5K timed, trail style run, a 1-mile family walk, games for the<br />

kids, t-shirts, food, prizes and lots of fun for all ages. Race registration is<br />

$25 for adults (ages 14 and up) and $10 for children (ages 13 and under)<br />
