Announces its 2017-<strong>2018</strong> Season<br />
Led by Artistic Director Dr. Kevin Klotz, the Houston Choral Society<br />
(HCS) announces its versatile and engaging 2017-<strong>2018</strong> season. They<br />
are truly working to fulfill their mantra of professionalism, versatility<br />
and passion. “We are providing our audiences with a wide variety of<br />
musical genres this year. We will have German folk music and waltzes,<br />
Spanish carols, Broadway favorites and The Lord Nelson Mass. There is<br />
something for everyone to enjoy in our 2017-<strong>2018</strong> season,” says Klotz.<br />
Season subscriptions are now on sale. Season subscribers save 15% for<br />
four concerts. Season tickets are $85 for adults, $65 for seniors/students<br />
and $30 for children 5 years old and under. Season tickets are available<br />
online at www.houstonchoral.org. The Houston Choral Society performs<br />
at The Foundry United Methodist Church, which is one of the premiere<br />
choral venues in Houston with extraordinary acoustics. It is located in<br />
northwest Houston at 8350 Jones Road, Houston, TX 77065 with easy<br />
access from Highway 290.<br />

National Marriage Week<br />
Local non-profit Shield Bearer is hosting several marriage building activities<br />
during National Marriage Week <strong>February</strong> 7-14, <strong>2018</strong>. Shield Bearer has been<br />
on the front lines strengthening marriages through counseling, marriage<br />
saving intensive experiences and workshops since 2007. Shield Bearer will<br />
host a special Life Together Forever Couples Workshop on <strong>February</strong> 10 th<br />
from 9 AM-3 PM at their central counseling office (12340 Jones Rd Suite 290)<br />
in Houston. On <strong>February</strong> 9 th from 11:30-1 PM, Shield Bearer will present a<br />
special Marriage Edition of their Hope After Harvey Workshop. Shield Bearer<br />
also offers a unique counseling experience for couples that think there is<br />
no hope for their marriage. Shield Bearer will also provide a free online<br />
marriage resource each day of National Marriage Week to followers of their<br />
online community page at facebook.com/shieldbearer.counseling. For<br />
