La Relance Salon’s tips to help organize camper moms: • Forget ironing or sewing on labels. Use a Sharpie laundry marking pen or stickers that affix to the label of any item of clothing. • Have extra new socks and underpants. When you’re purchasing the required pairs of socks and underpants, buy an extra dozen of each. Have these in your child’s drawer for when they return from camp. Whatever makes it home after the summer will be ready for the trash bin. • Use large plastic bags to contain clothing. Put socks in one, bathing suits in another, T-shirts in another. This will make unpacking easier for your child. • Keep camp specific items separate when storing at home. Camp towels, clothing with the camp logo, “bunk junk” (small games, flashlights, canteens) should not be integrated into the linen closet, utility area, or playroom. When packing next year, you’ll have it all in one place. • Sneakers don’t come home from camp. Tell your child not to bring home any sneakers or shoes except for the ones on his/her feet. They will be so dirty that you’ll want to toss them when they get home anyway. • Schedule a lice check. When your child gets off the camp bus, take your child for a lice check before they enter the house. Head lice cannot hop or fly. They are spread by direct contact with the hair of an infested person. Head-to-head contact with someone who already has head lice is the biggest risk. Students in grades 1-4 will perform Disney’s “Peter Pan Jr.” a wonderful musical production that will keep you LAUGH- ING all day long. Children in grades 5-10 will have an AMAZING experience as they sing and dance to Disney’s “Mary Poppins Jr.” In the final week of camp, campers will get into costume and work with directors and technical crew to get everything just right. Then, they’ll perform in front of cheering crowd of friends and family. The Citadel Theatre Summer Camp is so much more than just a theatre camp. Campers will spend much of the day playing games, running around, and having fun! Each week campers will get to experience a special activity that is sure to surprise and delight. Citadel Theatre Summer Camps will meet Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 11–July 13 at CROYA at the Lake Forest Rec Center.
