Postage Stamp Drive
March is Minnesota FoodShare Month
During March, Word of Peace will be joining people of good will
from across the state to help alleviate hunger. Minnesota Food-
Share’s March Campaign is the largest food drive in the state,
and congregations like ours are the heart of the campaign.
As participants in this event, we will be collecting cash & food
donations for CROSS all month. We are excited to support this
campaign through your generous donations, and we hope to
collect more than ever during this year’s campaign!

newsletter. Thank you for being a vital force against hunger in
our community!
Each year, Word of Peace volunteers
send out over 4,000
cards to people who are ill, hurt,
have cancer, are grieving, are
struggling, are in the military,
and are celebrating milestones.
This requires a lot of postage
and we are asking for your kind
donations of stamps or financial
contributions to support this
ministry.
From now through March 6,
there will be a table in the Gathering
Area for your donations of
stamps and/or money. We appreciate
your generosity! If you

Sponsor a Bible for a Child
at Word of Peace
THANK YOU! Word of Peace members donated 3,109 pounds
of food to CROSS in 2017! Every donation counts and is a blessing
to someone in need. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated!
CROSS has added a commercial kitchen to their space, enabling
them to heat meals for the Meals on Wheels program. There are
75 volunteer drivers who deliver 1,100 meals each month. The
program is looking for volunteer drivers (flexible weekdays from
11:00-12:30 PM) and kitchen help Tuesdays, Wednesdays and
Thursdays from 8:30-11:15 AM. If interested, please contact

On March 18 we will kick-off our
annual Bible Blast campaign. At
Word of Peace we take seriously
the promises we make to children
at baptism. One of those promises
is to put a Bible in the hands of
every child who enters our door
and every adult who does not have
one. Please consider donating $18
to sponsor a Bible.
Look for our Bible Blast tables in
the Gathering Area and outside the
Children’s Ministry area for donation
forms. Or donate online at
wordofpeace.org/give.
This month’s food needs: Rice, toothbrushes, paper & plastic
grocery bags. Donations may be dropped off at the CROSS Corner
in the North Gathering Area.
