State has reopened the Aba<br />

General Hospital after<br />

being moribund for <strong>over</strong><br />

seven years, describing it<br />

as the soul of health care<br />

service in Aba.<br />

G<strong>over</strong>nor Ikpeazu<br />

explained that the reopening<br />

of the hospital was<br />

part of his administration's<br />

efforts to strengthen the<br />

secondary healthcare<br />

system in the state.<br />

The g<strong>over</strong>nor recalled<br />

with nostalgia that “the<br />

hospital was firm, secure<br />

and renowned for medical<br />

practice but a few years ago<br />

the story changed. Today is<br />

yet another mile<strong>stone</strong>. This<br />

is good news for Aba<br />

people that your general<br />

hospital has bounced<br />

back.”<br />

Still going down memory<br />

lane, Ikpeazu recalled that<br />

the hospital was famous for<br />

offering all kinds of relief<br />

to many with ailments in<br />

the past and promised to<br />

operate optimally from the<br />

temporary site, hence the<br />

need to move some<br />

departments to the<br />

permanent site.<br />

commended Ikpeazu for<br />

his passion in ensuring that<br />

the secondary healthcare<br />

system of the state is<br />

strengthened.<br />

prioritizing the building<br />

need more funds for us to<br />

"strayed wild cards"<br />

herdsmen responsible for<br />

various attacks and killings<br />

of people in his and other<br />

communities in Nigeria.<br />

He said they are first time<br />

visitors, who strayed into<br />

their victims communities<br />

and engage in clashes and<br />

killings in their host<br />

communities nationwide,<br />

especially his agrarian<br />

community in Anambra<br />

State.<br />

Igwe Oranu, who<br />

recently ascended the<br />

throne of Omor, said this<br />

during a ceremony in<br />

Omor, where he unveiled<br />

his development blueprint<br />

for the predominantly<br />

farming community and<br />

equally played host to a<br />

body of farmers association<br />

and other stakeholders in<br />

the agricultural sector in the<br />

council area who paid him<br />

courtesy visit.<br />

observed that established<br />

herdsmen who know the<br />

grazing route where they<br />

graze regularly and have<br />

their families residing in<br />

those communities do not<br />
