Violets of all types such as standards, miniatures, semi-miniatures
and trailers will be available. Other Gesneriads such as Episcias
and Streps and supplies such as potting soil, pots and fertilizers
will also be featured. Club members will be available to answer
general questions on growing African Violets. Free parking available
at Judson Robinson Jr. Community Center. For further information,

Katy Taste Fest, the city’s first festival for foodies will again be held
at Villagio Town Center March 24, 2018, 11 AM-2 PM. The festival
celebrates all things food from some of the best Katy restaurants.
It is a foodies’ paradise with emphasis on food, family and fun. The
festival will focus on celebrating the diversity of the local restaurant
scene with bites from 30 local restaurants, cooking demonstrations,
beer/wine, a large kids zone, live entertainment and a silent auction.
Fun for the whole family! Our inaugural event was a HUGE success
with more than 800 attendees and raised more than $13,000 for our
local non-profit partners. We aim to exceed that number in 2018!
NEW: This year’s event will feature a VIP Jazz Brunch: This is an
opportunity to discover your new go-to favorites while savoring
comfort foods you’ve loved for years. We have something for everyone
from adults to kids. Katy Taste Fest has partnered with several
local nonprofits that focus on abused, neglected and abandoned
children including Katy Cares, Krause Children’s Center and Armor
of Hope Foundation. Details and ticket information will be available

About Katy Taste Fest: Katy Taste Fest aspires to turn tasters
into diners. The festival explores the city’s diverse dining scene
by sampling tastes from local restaurants. Attendees can enjoy
cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, a silent auction and
family-friendly activities for food lovers of all ages. Katy Taste Fest
supports several local charities that focus on vulnerable children,
including Katy Cares, ZOE, Krause Children’s Center, Helping Kids
Ministry and Armor of Hope Foundation.

CALL FOR ARTISTS: BAYOU CITY ART FESTIVAL
MEMORIAL PARK 2018
Bayou City Art Festival, produced by Art Colony Association, Inc. (ACA),
is inviting artists from around the country to submit applications and
have the opportunity to showcase their art at the nation’s premier
spring outdoor fine art event Friday-Sunday, March 23-25, 2018.
ACA produces Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park in the spring and
Bayou City Art Festival Downtown in the fall. Now entering its 47 th year,
ACA has provided a venue for over 20,000 artists to showcase their
