will also be featured. Club members will be available to answer<br />

general questions on growing African Violets. Free parking available<br />

2 ND ANNUAL KATY TASTE FEST<br />

Katy Taste Fest, the city’s first festival for foodies will again be held<br />

at Villagio Town Center <strong>March</strong> 24, <strong>2018</strong>, 11 AM-2 PM. The festival<br />

celebrates all things food from some of the best Katy restaurants.<br />

It is a foodies’ paradise with emphasis on food, family and fun. The<br />

festival will focus on celebrating the diversity of the local restaurant<br />

scene with bites from 30 local restaurants, cooking demonstrations,<br />

beer/wine, a large kids zone, live entertainment and a silent auction.<br />

Fun for the whole family! Our inaugural event was a HUGE success<br />

with more than 800 attendees and raised more than $13,000 for our<br />

local non-profit partners. We aim to exceed that number in <strong>2018</strong>!<br />

NEW: This year’s event will feature a VIP Jazz Brunch: This is an<br />

opportunity to discover your new go-to favorites while savoring<br />

comfort foods you’ve loved for years. We have something for everyone<br />

from adults to kids. Katy Taste Fest has partnered with several<br />

local nonprofits that focus on abused, neglected and abandoned<br />

children including Katy Cares, Krause Children’s Center and Armor<br />

of Hope Foundation. Details and ticket information will be available<br />

About Katy Taste Fest: Katy Taste Fest aspires to turn tasters<br />

into diners. The festival explores the city’s diverse dining scene<br />

by sampling tastes from local restaurants. Attendees can enjoy<br />

cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, a silent auction and<br />

family-friendly activities for food lovers of all ages. Katy Taste Fest<br />

supports several local charities that focus on vulnerable children,<br />

including Katy Cares, ZOE, Krause Children’s Center, Helping Kids<br />

Ministry and Armor of Hope Foundation.<br />

MEMORIAL PARK <strong>2018</strong><br />

Bayou City Art Festival, produced by Art Colony Association, Inc. (ACA),<br />

is inviting artists from around the country to submit applications and<br />

have the opportunity to showcase their art at the nation’s premier<br />

spring outdoor fine art event Friday-Sunday, <strong>March</strong> 23-25, <strong>2018</strong>.<br />

ACA produces Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park in the spring and<br />

Bayou City Art Festival Downtown in the fall. Now entering its 47 th year,<br />

ACA has provided a venue for over 20,000 artists to showcase their<br />
