“I had never heard

“I had never heard that excuse in Greater Chicago.” — Gary Gotberg, on a student’s reason for being tired: “Do you know hard it is to find a cow in the woods at night?” “I love feeling connected to people in town, running into people I grew up with and parents of my childhood friends,” she says. Further perks of the community, Brita notes, include the various family-owned businesses and the fact that “the town does such a great job keeping the roads and parks beautiful.” In the summer, the Gotbergs enjoy spending time in another beautiful location, the upper Peninsula of Michigan, where they have a lakeside cabin. They reconnect with friends and visit Gary’s family in Michigan and Chicago. Family bonds are important to the Gotbergs, and they aim to build those bonds through “lots of talking and spending time together,” Gary says. When disagreements or hurt feelings arise, says Brita, “We try to revisit the situation at a neutral time, and try to figure out where the feeling is really coming from. Are you really angry, or are you nervous? Are you really mad, or feeling defensive about something?” She adds: “We love spending time creating memories and then talking about those memories later — creating space for silly and serious moments.” BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY HomeServices Diamond Award Winner Top 1/2% Nationally Top Agent Award in Connecticut Top Customer Service Award in Connecticut Five-Star Award Winner #1 Top Selling Agent in Granby #1 Top Listing Agent in Granby I Understand Market Conditions: Buying and selling a home involves many important decisions and market condition is just one of the components to consider. Capture Life’s Precious Moments Q: How can yoga be “therapy”? A: Believe it or not, yoga is not just exercise! As any other therapeutic modality, yoga therapy is facilitated by a certified trained therapist who works one-on-one with a client to find the root cause for DIS-ease in the Body. Those with chronic physical and emotional conditions have the greatest success. Getting to the very bottom of an on-going issue often alleviates, if not, resolves the symptoms and often prevents the issue from resurfacing later in life.
