It’s called the Marina Resort because there is a purpose-built floating marina right<br />
there on the river, where visiting yachtsmen can tie up in safety and relax on dry land<br />
for a while. Some leave their boat there for weeks or even months and fly back to<br />
where they came from to attend to business before returning to their second home.<br />
Local boaters take advantage of the substantial concrete slipway to get their boats<br />
off the trailer and into the water. The resort is also ideal for families, with canoes and<br />
little pedal-powered boats, suitably kitted out with safety equipment, with which to<br />
potter about on the river,<br />
So, an afternoon, a few weeks or longer: the choice is yours, but<br />
word is getting around, so booking is now advisable. The resort<br />
can also host events such as unique, intimate weddings or small<br />
company team-building sessions. Only one potential problem:<br />
some people may never want to leave.<br />
