RAINFOREST<br />
The rainforest of Grenada is home to the Grenada dove (The national bird), Mona monkey<br />
and several unique birds and animals. The Grand Etang National Park and Forest<br />
Reserve is a unique experience of nature in all her glory. Its centerpiece is Lake Grand<br />
Etang, once an active volcano. There are several breathtaking hikes that can be undertaken.<br />
For example the demanding hike to the Telfour Bedau. Grenada also has plenty<br />
of stunning waterfalls. For example the Mount Carmel Waterfall, which is the most<br />
forceful waterfall of the island with a drop of over 70 feet.<br />
FORT GEORGE<br />
This historical 300 year old fort, which overlooks the town and harbor of St.George,<br />
offers stunning views. With its old cannons and battlements, it has featured in the<br />
political history of the island and is easily accessed via the main road.<br />
