Letter from the Editor
The A.G.M. of 2018 will be very important as there are changes
in the Constitution to be voted upon and new officials to be
appointed. Please do read Roger’s explanation carefully so that
you know all that is being proposed. I am sure Council members
and any of the officials listed on the inner front and back covers
will be happy to take on board any comments you may wish to
make.
This year the A.G.M. will be held in Barnet at the very end of
the Northern Line in London on June 2nd. Averill has promised
that country cousins like me may be met on request to help with
Underground platforms etc. Complete details and application
forms will appear in the April edition.
Looking backwards at the progress of Faith and Flowers, I am
delighted to note how many people are now sending articles for
inclusion. Looking to the future, more of the same please. I am
often told by members how much they enjoy accounts of your
activities. Inspired and inspiring work in our own churches and
descriptions from other countries add a richness to the
membership. A member of our congregation came to help with
the decoration of the windowsills for the first time. She
tentatively approached her first, enthusiastically approached her
second and threw everything but the kitchen sink at the third. Her
sheer joy got her own and our Christmas off to a very happy start.
A card from the son of a member who died in 2017 highlighted
the pleasure his mother found in her membership.
May you all find the same joy in your flowers, your membership
and your worship in 2018.
