Hello and welcome
to the next issue of
Shout! This issue
features just some
of the key moments
during our recent revival meeting
The River.
We were so blessed at The River. It
was incredible. I’m trusting that
the Lord will use our encounter
with Him as the starting point of
greater things in our lives in Jesus’
name. May your walk with Christ be
refreshed, may you experience new
beginnings, may God reveal Himself
to you in a new dimension in the name of Jesus.
March is our month of Uncommon Progress. I declare this month: you
are marching forward. You will not mark time on the same spot. You
will move on to greatness, you will move on to glory. You will overcome
satanic resistance. You are marching forward spiritually, materially;
mentally, financially and physically.
This month will see you making progress. Triple favour is your portion.
Blessings follow you. Dead things come alive. In your family no death
is allowed; no lack is allowed; no breakdown is allowed; no isolation is
allowed in the name of Jesus.
You are blessed and highly favoured
TESTIMONIES ABOUND AT
THE RIVER
JEHOVAH JIREH
I
was made redundant in February 2017, due to
Brexit. I started a part time MBA programme
after being made redundant. After 6 months
of unemployment, I was contacted for an
engineering role not far from where I live. I had two
interviews and was offered a role more senior than the
position I originally applied for.
After a few weeks in the job, my colleagues started
picking on the field engineers’ mistakes and began
blaming me for their mistakes as I co-ordinated their
tasks. I spoke to my line manager who reassured me.
Day after day I went into work feeling frustrated.
During The River evening service on Sunday 4th Feb
2018 Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo asked everyone
who called Joke to come to the altar. I went forward on
behalf of my mum. Whilst Pastor was praying, he called
me forward and prayed saying: “I take frustration off
you, you’re about to make a decision … you don’t know
which way to go but God will guide you.”
to send an email to the recruiter to say that I would
no longer be attending the interview (I’d discussed my
intention with my husband the night before), an email
came in from my husband. He said: “You have never
applied for all your best roles so far; they always found
you. God is up to something. Go for that interview,
Pastor prayed for you already, it’s your job.”
I went for the interview, three days later I was told
the client wanted to offer me the position. It’s with an
engineering consultancy I’ve always admired. I handed
in my one week notice as I was still on probation. It felt
like a weight was lifted off my shoulders.
I thank God for Pastor Matthew and Pastor Yemisi
Ashimolowo. Thank you for following the calling of
God for your lives. Miracles happen at The River!
I was shaken to my core because a few days before, a
recruiter phoned me and said: “I saw your CV on our
database and my client needs your set of skills”.
My current role was permanent but with a lower salary;
the new position was a contract job. During that week
I had a Skype interview, the next day I was told the
client would like to interview me in person. I didn’t
know whether to go for the interview. I wondered what
would happen if I don’t get through.
A few hours before the interview, just as I was about
DIVINE DELIVERANCE
I
attended The River on Thursday 1 February.
I responded to Pastor Matthew’s revelation
that there were people in the service who were
experience ‘pain inside the bone’. I had a painful
ankle and felt severe pain when I put pressure on it,
especially going up and down the stairs.
I left after the service, claiming my healing but still
felt the pain. The following morning I woke up and
stretched my legs. I felt my ankle bone click into place
- I was unaware that this was the cause of the pain. The
pain has disappeared and I can now walk with ease.
During the same service that I went forward for
healing Pastor Matthew asked everyone called Tony or
Anthony to come to the altar.
I went back and stood in line for my son. The following
TESTIMONIES
day my son had an appointment at the court regarding
mortgage arrears. The mortgage company was
threatening to repossess his property.
When my son arrived at the court on Friday he was
met by the Solicitor who assists the judge. The Solicitor
he went through my son’s documentation and told
him that there was not a case to answer because the
paperwork from the mortgage company was not
completed correctly. The Solicitor advised my son to
say nothing when the Judge came.
The Judge dismissed the case and advised my son to
add an extra payment to his monthly repayments. This
action would be evidence that my son is attempting to
pay the debt. (It would also put my son in a favourable
position if the company appealed.)
I went to The River on Friday 2 February and I was
called out and again. Pastor Matthew identified that I
was under pressure with stress related to my daughter.
Pastor Matthew asked the church to pray that God
would bring her back into relationship with the Lord
Jesus - I now await this result. God is indeed altogether
Wonderful.
G.B
GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!
I
have had outstanding council tax bills for the past
few years. I was making payments to four different
accounts: three bailiffs’ accounts and one council
account. I received a court summons for nonpayment
of the current bill.
I contacted the council to make an arrangement. I told
the council representative that I am paying council tax
to 4 different account’s, including bailiffs. The lady said
she would call me back later as she wanted to see how
she could help me.
came to an end three days before the day I expected it
to).
I came to The River that week, on Tuesday and
Wednesday. Pastor Matthew prayed for debt
cancellation and better jobs; I claimed the answers to
these prayers in Jesus’ Name.
Later that week I received two emails for interviews
in my main field of work. I went for an interview on
Wednesday at the biggest library in the world and the
second interview was with another local authority.
During the interview at the local authority I answered
their questions and explained my current duties. Each
time I spoke the interviewers would say: “brilliant” and
“ wonderful”.
The interview panel consisted of two people. When the
first interviewer finished, she asked the second panel
member to continue with his questions. He just flipped
through my CV and said there was nothing more to ask
as I had said everything.
The interview lasted less than 15 minutes. Two hours
later I got an email that I had been offered the job at the
local authority and that I should tell them my start date.
I started last week.
I wish to thank my Father in the house Pastor Mathew
for his precise prophecy and for helping us stand boldly
in all circumstances because he has helped us realise
who we are in Christ. Thank you to Pastor Yemisi too for
her helping me know that I am a winning woman.
To GOD be the GLORY, great things He has done!
S.M.
10 minutes later she called me and told me that my bill
has been reduced from £2400 to £1000 and that I would
now only be making payments to one account – this
would be a quarter of what I was previously paying to
the four different accounts.
The River is flowing as, secondly
During the first week of The River, Pastor Mathew called
my name, asking me to come to the altar. Unfortunately
I was not in church as I had gone to do overtime at my
part time job (my other position with a local authority
