1 Xikon is a cafe which offers both
western and asian fare, but its main
business is actually in photography and
developing films. Housed in a quaint,
renovated 60-year-old building, the
charm lies in the serene ambience and
simple, good food.
5 GuangFu Village, located in WuFeng
district, is the first town in Taiwan built
after World War II. The old village used to
be a dormitory for government officials
and their dependants after their retreat
to Taiwan from the civil war in Mainland
China. Now, the village has become a
cultural-creative hub where those in the
creative field use it as their workspace.
2 Since 1949, Tien Tien bun has been selling the
crispy fried bun with sweet red bean paste from a
humble food stand. The founder, Mr Chien, went to
Japan to learn traditional ways to make buns. After
Taiwan’s recession in the late 1940s, he decided to
start Tien Tien Bun with his family.
