FIRST ANNUAL JOE JOE BEAR FOUNDATION
CAR SHOW
Please join us for the First Annual Joe Joe Bear Foundation Car Show,
Saturday May 12, 2018 at the Fort Bend County Fair Grounds. With
bunches of beautiful cars for you to appreciate, a silent auction to help and
support Joe Joe Bear in their mission to provide Teddy Bears to children
with life altering diseases. Vendor booths for your shopping pleasure and
all different kinds of food trucks, this will be one event you won’t want
to miss. There will be live music and awards presented, something for
everyone at the First Annual Joe Joe Bear Foundation Car Show.

NATURE PROGRAMS FOR
PRESCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN
SATURDAYS IN NATURE
This program is held on the fourth Saturday of each month at the
Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary, held between 1 and 4 PM. A guided
nature walk will begin at 2 PM. No reservations required. Donations are
encouraged. This is a “whole family” program; parents or other adult
guardians should participate with their children. Park in the Memorial
Drive United Methodist Church parking lot at 12955 Memorial Drive, enter
the nature sanctuary through the marked gate and proceed on the path
to the log cabin. Upcoming programs include April: Bird Watching - Craft:
TP Binoculars.
THE TITMOUSE CLUB
The Titmouse Club is a nature program for children ages 2 ½ to 5 sponsored
by the Houston Audubon Docent Guild. The program is offered every
Tuesday and Wednesday morning, 10 to 11 AM, from mid-September
until mid-May at the Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary, 440 Wilchester
Boulevard. Each week features a different nature theme and may include
nature talks, stories, hands-on activities and walks in the woods. For more

Docents. The cost is $5 per child per session or a 5-session card can be
purchased for $20. The child must be accompanied by an adult during the

AFTER SCHOOL NATURE EXPLORERS CLUB
Nature Explorers Club is designed for school-age children (ages 6-10, K-5 th )
who are interested in investigating the natural world. Each month we will
explore a different ecology topic, focusing on our own native plants and
animals. We will make a craft to take home, go on a nature hike, dip-net
for fish and tadpoles in the ponds and get to know the plants and animals
of the Bayou City! Fee/reservations are required. Reserve your child’s spot
