Spring Term 2 - Easter 2018

Dear Parents,
Easter is an extremely special time for Catholics as we remember the sacrifices made by our
Lord Jesus Christ. Holy week allows us to think about our faith as we are encouraged to attend
reconciliation as well as recollect Jesus’ journey leading to his Resurrection on Easter Sunday.
For many students, the Easter break will be an opportunity to prepare for GCSE and A’ level
examinations and I wish them every success during this important time. May I remind you that
the Summer term starts on Monday April 16th.
I wish you all a very happy and Holy Easter and I look forward to seeing our students fully
refreshed next term.

AUTISM AWARENESS
Between Monday 26 th March – Thursday 29 th March Christ the King has
celebrated World Autism Awareness Week.
We have set up lots of activities , held Acts of Worship and done our best to
raise awareness and fund raising for our school sensory room. Fund raising
activities included a cake sale, tuck shop, bracelet sale and Ribbon sale. We
would like to say a special thank
you to Emma Anstock, Claire
Thomson and Emma Boyle who
kindly baked and donated for us.
Students have been extremely
supportive during the week and
enjoyed getting involved.
As this goes
to press we are unable to give a fundraising total.
Once we do know we will post it on social media.
We have been explaining Autism to our students and
