WINNERS ARE . . .
Voting has closed, the judging has taken
place and our successful Finalists have
been notified. All that is left to do is to
announce the winners and to celebrate
the best of the Welding Industry’s
Businesses and people at The Welding
World 2018 Awards Ceremony on
Wednesday 11th April.
The process began last summer with
nominations and votes being completely
controlled by the general public.
Companies shortlisted as a finalist should
be immensely proud at getting this far
and we look forward to highlighting
their success at the gala dinner.
Returning for our 2nd year at the
Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel and
hosted, this time, by popular broadcaster
and television personality, Eamon
Holmes OBE, the evening promises to be
a great night out for all, with an exciting
array of entertainment including a live
modern Jazz band, close-up Magician,
Roulette and Blackjack Casino Tables
and a Dance Floor. We will also be
holding a Silent Auction and tombolastyle
donation envelope draw with some
amazing Prizes up for grabs in support of
our chosen Charity – Kidney Cancer UK.
Kidney Cancer UK is a charity which
aims to maintain the highest standard
of support for kidney cancer patients,
carers and their family across the UK
throughout their kidney cancer journey.
They have two main events coming up,
on April 23 they will host the inaugural
St Georges’ Day Supper at the Victory
Services Club, London and are raising
funds to directly increase the number of
Kidney Cancer UK Health Professional
Nurses working within communities
across the country. May 1 Kidney Cancer
UK and sister charity, Kidney Cancer
Scotland, are delighted to invite you to
take part in Walk For A Cure during May
2018 (if you can’t do it in May, then you
can walk when you can) to help raise
