Veteran’s <strong>Services</strong><br />
Service Description: Veteran outreach case management services<br />
for harder-to-serve veterans (ex-offender, homeless, and/or lack of HS<br />
diploma or GED).<br />
<strong>Services</strong> include:<br />
• Developing job training opportunities<br />
• Job development<br />
• Discharge upgrades<br />
• Referrals to county veterans service officers for disability<br />
evaluation or re-evaluation<br />
• Referrals to VA hospitals for medical treatment, etc.<br />
Eligibility requirements:<br />
• Served on active duty for more than 180 days (not for training);<br />
OR<br />
• Discharged or released other than a dishonorable discharge;<br />
OR<br />
• MEDICALLY discharged regardless of the amount of Active Duty<br />
time;<br />
OR<br />
• Member of a National Guard or Reserve unit activated/<br />
federalized by presidential declaration and discharged or<br />
released other than a dishonorable discharge.<br />
