Four BAHS Students Chosen for
2018 PMEA All State Chorus
Brookel Sabella, Madison Cruz, Cathianne McKenna, Hannah Bledsoe
Four Bangor Area High School students were chosen for the 2018
PMEA ALL STATE Chorus. Sincere congratulations to Brookel Sabella,
Madison Cruz, Cathianne McKenna and Hannah Bledsoe for representing
Bangor High School’s outstanding music department.
Guest Conductor for the PMEA 2018 ALL-STATE Chorus is Dr. Paul
D Head Unidel Distinguish Professor of Choral Studies, University of
Delaware.
Some of the selections will be: Sigh No More Ladies - Rene Clausen;
Deposuit Potentes – Francesco Durante; Warum, Op 92 - Johannes
Brahms as well as many others. To quote the conductor “Music that
spans 500 years. Words that span over 2000 years. But a commonality
in each person’s conquest to grapple with words of truth, and sing songs
of justice.”
Concert will be held Saturday, April 21,5:00 p.m. at J. P. McCaskey
High School, 445 N. Reservoir St. Lancaster, PA.
Bangor Womens Club GFWC Scholarship Application
The Bangor Womens Club GFWC will be offering a $1000 scholarship
to a senior at Bangor High School or Faith Christian School. Applications
are available in the guidance office of each school. The deadline to
submit the applications is April 15th, 2018.

The Slate Belt Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce
applications for Scholarship Achievement Award 2018 are available March
1st at the guidance departments of Bangor High School, Pen Argyl High
School, Faith Christian & Career Institute of Technology.
The Slate Belt Chamber of Commerce will award one scholarship to
