WOMEN’S AUXILIARY<br />

cross <strong>the</strong> nation, <strong>The</strong> <strong>Salvation</strong> <strong>Army</strong> Women’s Auxiliary members are community leaders who<br />

give of <strong>the</strong>ir time, talent and treasure to help <strong>The</strong> <strong>Salvation</strong> <strong>Army</strong> in “Doing <strong>the</strong> Most Good.”<br />

<strong>The</strong>ir mission is to be “<strong>The</strong> <strong>Army</strong> Behind <strong>The</strong> <strong>Army</strong>” helping <strong>The</strong> <strong>Salvation</strong> <strong>Army</strong> meet <strong>the</strong><br />

need of o<strong>the</strong>rs at <strong>the</strong>ir point of need. Last year <strong>the</strong> Women’s Auxiliary helped touch <strong>the</strong> lives of<br />

thousands in <strong>the</strong> Tulsa metro area through its volunteer participation in<br />

<strong>the</strong> Angel Tree Program, Red Kettle Campaign, Toy Shop and<br />

fundraising through it’s annual Christmas Fashion Show and Luncheon<br />

now in its 65th year! Through <strong>the</strong>ir fundraising initiatives <strong>the</strong> Auxiliary<br />

provides funds <strong>for</strong> <strong>The</strong> Center of Hope homeless shelter, providing free<br />

ACT testing at <strong>the</strong> six Boys & Girls Clubs, camperships at <strong>the</strong> Boys &<br />

Girls Clubs and audio-visual equipment <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> Tulsa <strong>Area</strong> <strong>Command</strong>.<br />

<strong>The</strong>y also provided funds <strong>for</strong> under privileged children in <strong>the</strong> metro area<br />

to attend summer camp at Camp Heart O’ Hills.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Women’s Auxiliary provides an opportunity <strong>for</strong> women to<br />

meet in a spiritual atmosphere, enjoy programs and relationships, and contribute skills and resources to better<br />

our community and <strong>the</strong> world around us.<br />
