THE PROCLINE ADVANCED BREAST SYSTEM Engineered for comfort, accuracy and quick setup of breast patients in the prone position. Designed with you in mind. Why Prone Breast? Adjuvant radiotherapy to the breast in the prone position has been shown to significantly reduce the amount of irradiated lung and heart volume in patients with left breast cancer when compared to treatment in the more traditional supine position* 1 . If prone positioning better protects normal tissue adjacent to the breast, the risks of long-term deleterious effects of radiotherapy may be reduced. In combination with IMRT and VMAT techniques (including non-coplanar fields), treatment plan options are significantly improved in both hypofractionated and partial breast treatments. Adjustable Height > Can be adjusted between 16 and 24cm in 2cm increments to optimize patient position in the CT, MR and radiation treatment field. + Adjustable Tilt > Up to 10˚ allowing the apex of a patients chest to be accurately positioned at the lowest point to increase protection to heart, coronary artery and lung tissue from the effects of radiation therapy while allowing clinicians to get adequate margins from the seroma/lumpectomy site. Also reduces the load and pressure placed on the contralateral breast in the prone position.
