publisher’s note Take

publisher’s note Take no part in evil, instead expose it! Negozio e compra localmente (Shop and buy locally) I grew up Downtown. Our family were members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Franklin Street (now home to Schenectady Light Opera—I first play acted in Gypsy at age 9 at the old SLOC). My mom (who served in the Army Security Agency in Frankfurt, Germany) always shopped Albany and State streets. My mentors were 28-year veteran Daily Gazette and CBS 6 WRGB reporter, the late Dan DiNicola and my Sicilian godfather Mike Aidala—as well as Zionist lawyer Sam Rosenberg, who inspired me to love The Rule of Law and to take a paralegal course. Mr. Aidala emigrated to the U.S. from Sicily and is a retired U.S. Army officer. My dad came to Schenectady in 1947, from Sicily, Italy, after WWII. We lived in the old Italian and Polish section of Mt. Pleasant. My Sicilian brother-in-law married my oldest sister, and we later partnered in the publishing business. It has been a hard, long struggle and patience to allow God to fight for us to maintain our trademark and IP of Taste of Schenectady® and Beyond here in the Capital Region. WE ARE NOT VICTIMS....INSTEAD WE ARE GOD’S MESSENGERS TO THE EVILDOERS TO REPENT AND WORK BETTER TO HEAL OUR COUNTY. The warmer season is my favorite time of year to enjoy the great outdoors and farmers’ markets like the downtown Schenectady Greenmarket. Also, visit any of the restaurants and shops advertised in this magazine for the best service and local gourmet products! Enjoy the articles, real news and recipes, but please remember to support our advertisers and let them know that you saw their business advertised in our magazine. Thanks for reading Taste of Schenectady® magazine—always trust God to fight despots! Volume 4 No. 1 Community Activist and Food & Travel Editor David J.
