May 5 th - AsiaFest 2018. Celebrate Asian Pacific
American Heritage Month with AsiaFest, Asia
Society Texas Center’s annual family event
featuring community performances, fusion
cuisine, creative activities, local vendors and

and is held at the Asia Society Texas Center,

May 5 th - Houston Dragon Boat Festival. The
Buffalo Bayou will be overflowing with people
and boats at the Annual Houston Dragon Boat
Festival. More than 30 corporate and community
teams will paddle their way in the waters
of downtown Houston with other festivities
celebrating Asian and Asian-American culture.
Texas Dragon Boat Association (TDBA) is collaborating
with The Asian/Pacific American
Heritage Association to provide fun activities
for the whole family celebrating Asian-Pacific
American Heritage Month. The event will be

May 5 th -6 th - The 23 rd Annual Keels & Wheels
Concours d’Elegance, benefiting The Boys &
Girls Harbor, is scheduled for Saturday and
Sunday, May 5-6, 2018. The weekend-long,
nationally acclaimed classic car and vintage
wooden boat show takes place each spring at
the Lakewood Yacht Club in beautiful Seabrook,
TX and attracts more than 15,000 attendees.
The car and boat exhibitors come from every
part of the United States, as do the spectators.
Potential sponsors can choose from six
different support levels ranging from $1,000
to $50,000 and include bronze, silver, gold,
platinum, presenting and title sponsorships.
All levels of funding will receive recognition
in printed collateral, a color advertisement in
the program, VIP guest passes to Saturday or
Sunday Concours, sponsor parking pass and
the company logo will appear on the Keels &

May 17 th -20 th - Houston Greek Fest. OPA! For
over 20 years, the Houston Greek Fest has
brought a touch of Greece straight to the bayou
city! The Houston Greek Fest is a family friendly
event held annually in mid-May. Visitors enjoy
Greek music, authentic Greek cuisine, live dancers,
an outdoor marketplace and more. You can
tour St. Basil the Great Orthodox Church which
was voted one of the most beautiful churches in
Houston by the Houston Press in 2011. We love
sharing our Greek Heritage with Houston and

May 18 th - May 20 th - Pasadena Strawberry
Festival. Did someone say strawberries, strawberry
shortcake? Yum! The Annual Pasadena
Strawberry Festival will include 128 teams
playing Mud Volleyball, 70 BBQ cook off teams,
Specialty Act- Pig races, Swam master Alligator
show, Magic acts, stunt shows, Children’s area,
Teen area, Washer Pitching Contest, Wine Tent,
2 stages of Live entertainment and the World’s
Largest Strawberry Shortcake! There are 300
vendors with everything from food to arts and
crafts, Beauty Pageant, Carnival and much,
much more! The festival will be held at the

May 25 th -27 th - Comicpalooza is back offering
the best multi-format pop culture con in the
southwest. Comics, sci-fi, fantasy, video and
table top gaming, anime, music, film and more.

George R. Brown Convention Center and Adult

June 2nd - Vegandale is proud to take our utopia
on the road, hosting Vegandale Food Drink
Festival in four cities for 2018. At these festivals,
veganism is celebrated through food, drinks, music
and art with hundreds of vendors & 75,000+
guests in attendance. The event is held at Sam
Houston Park, 1100 Bagby, Houston 77002 from

June 2nd -This summer, Galveston will host a
free, family friendly event series to help beachgoers
create spectacular sandcastles with tips
from the pros. Visitors to Stewart Beach can participate
in “Sandcastle Days” events to receive
free sandcastle building lessons from a professional
sandcastle builder. The events will take
place each Saturday this summer from June
2nd thru August 18th. Each event will begin with
an instructor building a sandcastle from 8-11
AM followed by lessons at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM.
Equipment will be provided on a limited basis
and participants are encouraged to bring their
own sand buckets and shovels. Registration is
not required. The lessons will take place on the
sand near the Stewart Beach Pavilion. Stewart
Beach is located at 201 Seawall Blvd. It is home
to helicopter tours, a pavilion, volleyball courts,
a children’s playground, restrooms, showers,
chair and umbrella rentals and concessions.

June 15th-17th - Galveston Cajun Crawfish
Festival. The third annual Galveston Cajun
Festival, which is set for Father’s Day weekend,
June 15th-17th, will celebrate the best of Texasand
Louisiana-styled food, family fun and live
entertainment - island style! The grand event
will be held on the beautiful grounds of Beach
Central Park at the Hotel Galvez, 2102 Seawall.
The festival will take place rain or shine! Festival
hours will be from 5 PM to 11 PM June 15th, 11
AM to 11 PM June 16th and 11 AM to 5 PM June
17th. The festival will feature a wide variety of
Cajun food vendors, kid rides and live music
from a wide array of performers across a variety
of genres. Admission is $6 for adults. Kids

June 23rd - Houston LGBT Pride Celebration.
Hundreds of thousands of spectators are expected
to attend the 2018 Houston LGBT Pride
Celebration® on June 23rd! Last year, one of
the oldest and largest pride events in the South
moved to Downtown Houston with the theme
Heroes. This year promises to be another mega
event! The day of festivities kicks off with the
Pride Festival from 12 PM to 7 PM at Hermann
Square in front of City Hall. The parade follows
at 8:30 PM along a route through the western
