Merle Boddy Centre<br />
What a great turn out for our bingo. Thank you to<br />
everyone who attended, we made £502. As always<br />
a big thank you to Paul for the room, Norman for his<br />
calling skills and of course Linda for her skill at prising<br />
money from people and checking the cards. We all<br />
had a brilliant time. All our prizes were donated; you<br />
know who you are and our thanks goes to you all.<br />
Please look out for our next fundraiser.<br />
In order to show off our wonderful new facilities<br />
(the sparkling new toilets, plus shower room), we<br />
had a lovely open evening with lots of our friends<br />
and supporters of the Merle Boddy Centre. We all<br />
enjoyed home made cake and coffee. Thank you to<br />
everyone who made a cake, as usual nothing was left.<br />
Lilian Willis cut the ribbon, a bit of a shock for her<br />
as she didn’t know that was to be her role, but she<br />
did a grand job. A big thank you to her. Lil’s heart felt<br />
words touched us all; a few moist eyes in the room<br />
that night but a very proud daughter and grandson<br />
were there to support her.<br />
We would like to thank the lovely lady who donated<br />
these little treasures to us. They lasted less than 5<br />
minutes before they were all sold.<br />
This is a selection of the Easter goodies that were<br />
made by our very talented clients. Every client went<br />
home with an Easter egg and full with a special Easter<br />
lunch of roast lamb and all the trimmings.<br />

instrument to add to<br />
our collection. Soon<br />
we’ll have a small<br />
orchestra! This activity is<br />
much enjoyed as it also<br />
comes with singing and<br />

Its always a pleasure to have people come to see us<br />
but even nicer when they come bearing gifts and this is<br />
what Linda did, Linda helps run the Wednesday night<br />
bingo at the Conservative club along with Norman<br />
and Ian, a gift of £500 was donated to us from the<br />
bingo thank you for being such loyal supporters of<br />
the day centre and again thank you to all your bingo<br />
ladies and gentlemen.<br />

Mostly I get bills in the post, but today I got a<br />
fantastic surprise in one of the letters. Due to the<br />
kind generosity of the management and staff of<br />
Adrian Flux I received a cheque for the grand total of<br />
£912.61. This was achieved from a dress down day.<br />
Our thanks goes to everyone who took part in this event.<br />
We are again doing an afternoon tea, this event<br />
was very popular and we only have limited space so<br />
please book a place for the 3rd june 2pm -4pm. £6 a<br />
