entertaining Coachella Valley residents<br />

and visitors each and every week this<br />

summer with an extraordinary lineup<br />

of live entertainment including: two<br />

solo-performance plays, a series of<br />

dynamic cabaret performances, a jazz<br />

series presented in association with<br />

Bill Saitta, a dance performance, and<br />

a classical music series, in addition<br />

to the annual Tales From the Twilight<br />

Café, a group of original works from<br />

pianist. A prize winner of<br />

numerous competitions, including the<br />

Grand Prize at the Carmel Music Society<br />

Crescendo Music Awards (Tulsa, OK),<br />

and laureate of the Chopin International<br />

Competition of the <strong>10</strong>00 Islands.<br />

Symphony, at Spectrum in Brooklyn<br />

as part of Rzewski’s 80 th birthday<br />

celebration and solo performances<br />

in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Poland,<br />

Marshall Hawkins is a legendary<br />

musician who played with jazz greats<br />

like Miles Davis and also performed<br />

classical music with the National Sym-<br />

phony Orchestra. A multi-instrumentalist,<br />

he established the Jazz Studies<br />

Program at the Idyllwild Arts Academy<br />

and is co-founder and music director<br />

of Idyllwild Jazz in the Pines. Hawkins<br />

is a member of the MSJC Foundation<br />

board.<br />

show,The Doris Day Project: The Music<br />

of Doris Day.&quot; Scott is coming<br />

to CVRep directly from performing<br />

for Doris Day’s 96th Birthday Celebration<br />

benefiting the Doris Day Animal<br />

Foundation in Carmel, California<br />

(where Doris Day lives today). This<br />

was his 3rd time performing for Doris’s<br />

birthday celebration.<br />
