the Department of Recreation
Basketball Recap:
4th Grade Girls finished their
regular season 7-3. On March 10th,
the Girls won their tournament in
Waunakee finishing the season
at 11-3. I would like to thank
Jamie Satre and Ryan Redemann
for coaching the girls this year.
It was amazing to witness
their progress in the sport of
basketball since November.
4th Grade Boys finished their
regular season 5-4. They also
played on March 10th in Waunakee
and lost in the semifinals by 3
points to finish the year 6-5.
I would like to thank Jen and
Chris Hussin, Greg Anderson,
Jen Tracey and Max Loetscher
for coaching the boys this year.
This team consisted of 3rd and
4th Grade Boys which played
exclusively in a 4th Grade League
and played well in every game.
Summer Trips
Early Bird Special sign up
prior to April 20th for the
rate listed below.
Summer trips are available to
any child entering 4th Grade
through entering freshman year
July 12: 7:15am – 8:30pm
Six Flags Great America
Fee: $65.00
Participants will meet at the Village
Center and will head to Gurnee, IL.
Participants will have access to all
the amusement rides and the water
park. If participants will be using
the water park, please have your
child pack a swimsuit and towel.
Program participants will need to
bring money for lunch and dinner.
Some rides have a minimal height
requirement to ride on them.
July 18: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Brewers vs. Cardinals
Fee: $55.00
Participants will meet at the Village
Center and travel to Miller Park to
watch the World Series Champion
Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers.
Participants will receive a tailgate
lunch prior to entering the stadium.
Seats are located in sections 220-
221. Maple Bluff was given 18
tickets, so please sign up fast.
July 26: 8:15am – 5:45pm
Noah’s Ark Water Park
Fee: $55.00
The Big Kahuna, Black Anaconda,
The Plunge, Scorpions Tail and
many more awesome water
thrills are waiting for you on this
field trip. Participants will have
lunch provided by Noah’s Ark
with an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet.
All participants must wear/bring a
swimsuit, towel, flip-flops or sandals,
sunscreen and extra money
to get a locker or concessions.
July 30: 6:45pm – 9:30pm
Madison Mallards
Fee: $30.00
Participants will meet at the
Village Center and we will drive to
Warner Park for the Mallards game.
Chaperones may be needed to drive
and attend the game. Chaperone
tickets will be paid by the Village.

Arts & Athletics

Fee: $150.00 M-F
Fee: $75.00 T & TH (CYGW 7 yr olds)
This 9-week summer program provides
youth (entering 2nd through
6th grade) a fun, safe environment
that provides fun activities
at the Maple Bluff Beach Park.
This program is an open program
(participants may leave the beach
at anytime throughout the program
with written permission from
parents) with attendance taken
daily,. Throughout the summer
participants will participate in arts,
crafts, games, sports and other
exciting activities. On occasion
small groups may leave the Beach
for other activities. Last summer’s
highlight was the A&A Fear Factor.
*Please note in the event of
inclement weather, A&A may
be cancelled for the safety
of participants and staff.
Camp-Ya-Gotta-Wanna
(March 30)

(No program 7/4)
Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Times: 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Fee: $310.00
This 9 week summer program
meets at Firemen’s Park M,
W & F from 1:00pm—4:00pm.
Enrollment for this program is
open to all Maple Bluff resident
children between the ages of 3
and 7/8 (entering 2nd grade in fall
of 2012). This afternoon playgroup
program will offer structured and
free play opportunities, as well as,
arts and craft projects. Groupings
will be divided based on age of the
children and the parent volunteers
will try their best to group
your child with their friends.
Girls Basketball Camp
June 11 – July 30
Mondays 10:30am – 12:00pm
Village Center Gym
Ages: entering 4th – 6th Grade
Instructor: Jamie Satre
Fee: $40.00
This 8 week instructional basketball
program will provide advanced
skill development in dribbling,
passing, shooting, rebounding,
playing offense and defense
and learning the violations in the
game. The first 4 weeks participants
will practice these skills.
The remaining 4 weeks participants
will play pick-up games.
Boys Basketball Camp
June 12 – July 31
Tuesdays 10:30am – 12:00pm
Village Center Gym
Ages: entering 4th – 6th Grade
