Mini Golf: A ‘slice’ of summer fun
Tinley Junction Miniature
Golf and Batting cages
is fun for everyone. Tinley
Junction features an 18-
hole miniature golf course,
with a model garden railroad
running throughout
the course. There are five
professional batting cages
available for those wanting
to practice their swing, and
a concession stand is open
for refreshing snacks and
treats. Children under the
age of 10 might even win
a brand new bike.
Operated by the Tinley
Park-Park District, Tinley
Junction is located at Mc-
Carthy Park, home of the
Park District’s annual 4th
of July Extravaganza. Tinley
Junction will be open
on July 4 in the heart of
the celebration, so be sure
to stop by for a round of
golf, play games, listen
to music, and take in the
south suburbs “Best Fireworks
Show.” McCarthy

Could your child use a
new set of wheels? Tinley
Junction is partnering
with the Bettenhausen Automotive
Group in 2018
to raffle 10 bikes — five
girls’ and five boys’. Children
aged 10 and under
who play a paid round of
golf this season can enter
a monthly raffle to win
a bicycle. Each round of
mini golf played is another
opportunity to enter that
month’s raffle.
If baseball or softball is
more of your thing, Tinley
Junction has five professional
batting cages, available
in slow-, mediumand
fast-pitch hard ball
and slow- and fast-pitch
softball. Cages are also
available for hour or halfhour
rentals.
A birthday party at the
Tinley Junction is easy for
parents and kids have a
blast. There are packages
for every budget. Prices
range from $3.75 per person
for golf only, to $9.75
per person, which includes
a round of golf, 15 rounds
in the batting cages, pizza,
drinks, ice cream and
popcorn. Every Thursday
is price “roll back” so everyone
can play a round of
mini golf for only $3.75
