Snøhetta’s commitment to an integrated, transdisciplinary practice,
including architecture, landscape, interior, and design, has
few parallels within the industry. The quality and strength of identity
provoked by our designs is achieved by incorporating deep research,
transforming what are often obstructions into potentiality,
and including the social and political environment in the
creative process. Our work strives to enhance our sense of place,
identity, and relationship to others and the physical spaces we inhabit,
whether natural or human-made.
Our content-based approach is derived from long-standing
Nordic traditions of humanistic values and we stand our social
grounds. Our projects are not driven by style, but are genuinely
