William George Hartman<br />
William George Hartman,<br />
58, of Northfield, formerly<br />
of Lake Forest, died June 1<br />
from glioblastoma.<br />
Hartman grew up in<br />
Northbrook, the son of<br />
Ann Hartman Brown and<br />
the late George H. Hartman<br />
Jr. He attended Glenbrook<br />
North High School<br />
and Drake University.<br />
Hartman spent most of his<br />
career in sales and marketing,<br />
but found his true<br />
passion when he joined<br />
North Chicago Community<br />
Partners, which provides<br />
school enrichment<br />
programs and community<br />
services to the underserved<br />
community of<br />
North Chicago. Hartman<br />
was an inspiration to many<br />
in his ability to live a life<br />
of grace, compassion and<br />
kindness. His optimism,<br />
unique energy and playfulness<br />
made him a lot of<br />
fun to be around. He loved<br />
Michigan and spent his vacations<br />
at White Lake and<br />
Glen Lake. Most of all, he<br />
loved being with his family<br />
and friends. He was a<br />
member of Christ Church<br />
in Lake Forest.<br />
Hartman was greatly<br />
loved and will be dearly<br />
missed by daughters Ashley<br />
(Cort) Rippentrop and<br />
Annie Hartman; beloved<br />
Beth Bartlett and her<br />
daughter, Katie Grundin;<br />
mother, Ann Hartman<br />
(Larry) Brown; brothers<br />
Jim (Paul Fritsch) and Tom<br />
(Espie) Hartman; nephews<br />
Daniel (Nicole), Bob<br />
(Hillary), Ken, George and<br />
David Hartman; two greatnieces<br />
Eve and Leigh<br />
Hartman; and large extended<br />

Dora Amanda Totzke,<br />
nee Petrik, 78, of Northbrook,<br />
died June 5.<br />
She was the beloved<br />
wife for 53 years of Erhard;<br />
loving sister or Rita<br />
(David) Lasich; cherished<br />
aunt of Kimberly (Christopher)<br />
Duncan and Bernadette<br />
(Alfonso) Carmona;<br />
proud great aunt of Amanda<br />
and Gabriela. Totzke<br />
worked for 25 years at<br />
Allstate Insurance. She<br />
was born and raised in Argentina<br />
where she met her<br />
husband then they moved<br />
back to Germany in 1971.<br />
Then they came together<br />
to the US in 1975. Dora<br />
was also an accomplished<br />
accordion player and loved<br />
to be with her family.<br />

He was the beloved<br />
husband for 60 years of<br />

and Susan (Dennis) Bowen;<br />
cherished grandfather<br />
