Sacred Heart Convent Bad Habits at Sacred Heart School in Swaffham Sisters Francis, Renata and Michaela were invited to the Sanford St Martin Awards at Lambeth Palace. We did not win our category but were delighted to be nominated. We were up against the series Broken which featured Sean Bean as a Catholic Parish Priest. We were given a mention from the podium from a BBC Radio 4 presenter for the positive impact that our documentary has had on people. Lambeth Palace was a majestic venue for the Awards which are given annually for the best broadcast programmes about religion, ethics and spirituality. We felt honoured to be in such a wonderful setting with our friends from Crackitt who shot the documentary. Bishop Jane and Gabby joined us for a photograph. Mid Norfolk Athletics Championships Sacred Heart Senior School competed in the Mid Norfolk Athletics Championships at the UEA in Norwich. We took 40 children from the senior school to UEA to compete in the Mid Norfolk Athletics Championships. It was a great day with all the children playing a part in representing the school in both track and field events. We had a number of outstanding performances with Demi coming first in all her track and field events and Bonnie, Harry, Alex and Nancy all getting top 3 places. All those that took part were a great credit to the school and their commitment and desire to do well was much admired. All the children had been practicing very hard over the last few weeks especially in mastering the techniques in events such as shot, discuss and javelin. Mr J Hodge (Sports Teacher) 6 7
