Health and Nutrition Strategies For
Cancer Survivors and Everybody Else

WHAT’S IN YOUR DIET?
Since the last article, I took some time to recharge,
refl ect and strategize. Some of the time included
a visit with my oncology team at the Sidney Kimmel
Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. Their
researchers, studying the benefi ts of natural foods such
as extracts of pomegranate and muscadine grape skins
have determined that even at low doses, those extracts
slow the rise of prostate cancer recurrence. I can personally
testify about their muscadine grape skin study. I
participated in the study for two years and credit it with
controlling my cancer. Results of the study is signifi cant
to our region because muscadine grapes are an indigenous
crop. The study suggest a potential inexpensive,
risk-free remedy to stave off prostate cancer recurrence.
In past articles I’ve shared that I am a retired federal
bureaucrat,a strong free market supporter and advocate
of single payer healthcare. I’ve heard the arguments
of government ineffi ciency and incompetence,
and in many instances I agree. However, when It comes
to healthcare, my opinion is one of a Washington insider
who’s perspective of how our government works might
differ from the general population. Lobbyist (K st.)
have a signifi cant infl uence on government policy. I’ve
advised that there’s unidentifi ed and unlabeled arsenic
in 90% of the poultry sold in the U.S. Amazing lobbying
infl uence.
I’m currently analyzing press releases that inform, that
generic glyphosphate formulations are produced by at
least 100 manufacturers, and can be found in more than
740 products. Including Monsanto’s/Bayer’s Roundup
(glyphosphate). In 2010 Monsanto received a patent
regarding the antimicrobial/antibiotic action of glyphosphate.

a negative impact on human and intestinal fl ora that
could result in a decrease of good and bad bacteria in
the digestive system . In addition, levels for phosphate
residue was increased at Monsanto’s request. The
patent was approved without benefi t of clinical trials or
published studies that I can locate.
Consequently, my position is that our government is
complicit in the toxicity of our food, and our food is the
culprit for much of the health disparities of the region.
If the government is complicit, how is it fair that when
(not if ) you become ill, you have to pay to get better.
It seems to me it’s an immoral policy and open for
corruption.
