The HR Team is staffed with a Human Resources Manager and two Human Resources Assistants. Together the HR Team facilitates the implementation of HR services throughout Europe, which is important for the operational effectiveness of DGPFSS and the Canadian Forces and their dependents who are living and working in Europe. The HR Team facilitates the recruitment and selection process from beginning to end by assisting managers to develop and design job descriptions most suited to the job-at-hand; to initiate staffing requests; and to effectively participate throughout the selection and interview process. The HRM acts as an honest broker in the selection process, advising the managers of standard hiring policies and procedures, while at the same time empowering them to actively participate in the selection process of their employees. The HRM ensures that the recruitment process is transparent and equitable for all prospective candidates. The HRM assists CFSU(E) and Detachment management with the interpretation and implementation of relevant policies, procedures, collective agreements and legislation. The HRM provides advice, suggestions and vision to management as it relates to HR policies, procedures, programs and staffing, which all contribute to the operational effectiveness of the organization. The HR Team coordinates the payroll services for up to 90 employees based throughout Europe. The HRTeam also administers the Pension & Benefits program for each employee. ON-BOARDING OARDING PROGRAM P ROGRAM DGPFSS CORE CHARACTERISTICS P In partnership with all managers and supervisors, the HR team will facilitate the integration of all new NPF staff by using the On-Boarding Program, a guide to welcome new employees. SECURITY ECURITY Ensuring integrity and confidentiality of employee files is of paramount concern for the HR Team. The HR Team strives to achieve this through their consistent implementation of strict security guidelines and confidential filing system of the DGPFSS complaint resolution process. Within the context of NPFs' mission, five core characteristics have been identified. These characteristics are most critical for individual and organizational success, and help build a shared vision and translate this vision into action.
