A £40 per person deposit is payable to secure your seat. Your 

balance payment is due 6 weeks before departure. If you are 

booking within 6 weeks of departure full payment is required. 

If your holiday includes Home Collection we will write to you 2 weeks 

before departure to advise your collection time.

coaches to offer a high level of comfort 

and incorporate the latest safety 

features. Our coaches are specified to 

provide generous legroom making for 

a comfortable journey. Air conditioning 

is fitted throughout and all vehicles also 

have toilet facilities, comfortable 

reclining seats, armrests, tinted glass and seat belts. 

Our fleet is maintained independently to the highest of standards – 

the safety of our passengers is our number one priority. 

We take great pride in the presentation of every vehicle and ensure they 

are spotless when you step on board for your holiday.

Throughout the 

brochure you will 

notice that our Home 

Collection Service is 

indicated on some of 

the tours. On these holidays you will 

be collected and returned to your 

home via a taxi organised by us. On these tours we operate a limited 

amount of pick up places ensuring that your holiday will start and end 

efficiently. To qualify for the free Home Collection Service you must live in 

the area from Poole to Lymington and south of Ferndown.

your monies are protected by a bond in the unlikely event of our 

ceasing to trade. You are recommended to inspect our current membership

comprehensive selection of local collection points. We only collect 

from the local area so there will be no waiting at motorway services 

for other vehicles. The vehicle that collects you will be the only

Come along for some Festive Fun at the friendly Hotel de 

la Mer in Babbacombe – great value for money!! Turkey & 

Tinsel breaks are a great, fun way to enjoy the run up to 

Christmas with cuisine and entertainment in hotels 

decorated for the festive period. 

Situated on the outskirts of Torquay, Babbacombe on the English 

Riviera and offers stunning panoramic views over Lyme Bay from its 

clifftop promenade. Quieter than Torquay, the town has a good variety 

of shops, pubs and cafes. For the energetic, there are footpaths to 

Oddicombe and Babbacombe Beaches. Within easy walking the 

St Marychurch Shopping precinct offers a variety of shops and cafes 

and nearby is the famous Babbacombe Model Village. Great fun 

pre Christmas break with our friendly hotel owner and staff. 

Itinerary 

DAY 1: After being collected from 

your local pick up point around 9.00am 

we have comfort stops on route as 

required before arriving at the hotel 

mid-afternoon with a mince pie to 

greet you! After dinner join in the 

Christmas quiz in the bar. 

DAY 2: After your Full English breakfast 

we are joined by our local guide for a 

tour of Dartmoor. This is a wonderful 

excursion at any time of year with a 

guided tour adding much to the 

dramatic landscape of the National 

Park. Returning to the hotel to relax 

before a delicious Gala Christmas 

dinner with Santa’s Little Helpers 

followed by Christmas cabaret 

entertainment and dancing. 

DAY 3: After breakfast we head off to 

Plymouth. An excellent destination 

for an excursion and site of so many 

important historic events including 

Sir Francis Drake’s escapades. We will 

be joined by a local guide for a coach 

tour which will include Plymouth Hoe, 

Devonport Naval Dockyard, Brunel’s 

magnificent Royal Albert Bridge and 

the Barbican area before free time in 

the city centre. We return to the hotel 

for more Festive food and fun live 

entertainment with a New Year Comedy 

Magic display with Peter Baffles. 

DAY 4: Departing the hotel after 

breakfast and head to Exeter. Time to 

see the sights in the centre and have 

an early lunch before continuing home. 

Arriving back in the local area around

We are delighted to be staying at 

this hotel again. It offers a genuine 

welcome from the Tillen family and 

is only 100m from the Cliff Railway 

and promenade. This 27 bedroom 

hotel enjoys an intimate atmosphere

and friendly staff offering excellent 

customer service. 

The hotel is very proud of its food – 

fresh ingredients, locally sourced. 

There is a choice of menu for you to

You are assured of a genuine warm welcome from all the 

staff at this family run hotel in Ilfracombe. These pre 

Christmas breaks are a great, fun way to enjoy the run 



Superb value holiday whilst enjoying some of the finest scenery to 

be had, anywhere in Britain. The dramatic, rugged coastline of the 

North Devon Coast, where the cliffs seem to dive in to the sea is 

quite stunning and on a clear day you can see over to South Wales. 

There are some terrific excursion destinations to explore, all with 

lovely countryside to see on route. We stay in the centre of Ilfracombe, 

a town which has received a noticeable boost in the last few years 

largely credited to the arrival of artist, Damian Hirst who lives nearby. 

His giant 20 metre sculpture, Verity, has led to several galleries in the 

town and some lovely restaurants, bars and cafes around the authentic 

fishing harbour. 

Itinerary 

DAY 1: Departing your local pick-up 

point in the morning (approx. 8.30am), 

we travel to Ilfracombe stopping for 

lunch before arriving mid/late 

afternoon. Arriving at the hotel for a 

cup of tea and complimentary mince 

pie before dinner followed by 

entertainment in the bar lounge. 

DAY 2: After breakfast we have an 

excursion with a scenic drive over the 

wonderful scenery of Exmoor National 

Park with a stop in the historic town of 

Dunster, overlooked by its magnificent 

castle. Afterwards we continue to 

Lynmouth for a lunch break in this 

picturesque port. Returning to the hotel 

for afternoon tea & mince pies before 

dinner and some fun entertainment. 

DAY 3: In the morning we head for 

Great Torrington with a visit to 

Dartington Crystal where we have 

included a factory tour. Watch the 

craftsmen at work, transforming hot 

molten crystal into elegant shapes and 

hear the fascinating story of this famous 

brand. Returning to Ilfracombe for free 

time. Afternoon tea & biscuits are 

served before the big night tonight! 

Enjoy a traditional Christmas Dinner 

with all the trimmings followed by the 

Fancy Dress Parade. Don’t be shy – 

best costume wins a prize! 

DAY 4: Lovely excursion today as we 

visit Appledore. In a picturesque setting 

overlooking the River Torridge estuary, 

this thriving fishing village has a selection of galleries, shops and cafes. 

We continue to Barnstaple which has a great selection of cafes for lunch and 

the famous Victorian Pannier Market. Relax in the evening after dinner. 

DAY 5: Heading home after breakfast with a lunch stop on route. Arriving back 

in the local area around 3.00/4.00pm.

harbour where you can enjoy a drink 

or bite to eat in the cafe/bars.

One of the most popular destinations with our customers, Eastbourne 

is a refined Victorian seaside resort offering a fine array of facilities 

for tourists. There is a lovely level promenade, attractive gardens, 

a splendid Victorian pier, theatres, an art gallery and excellent 

shopping and cafes where you can watch the world go by – perfect 

for a relaxing break away from it all. The town is surrounded by the 

stunning South Downs with a wealth of excursion possibilities in 

the region. We are delighted to be staying at the excellent 3* New

DAY 4: Wonderful scenery today. 

Mid-morning, we head north to 

Ilfracombe, a town which has received a 

noticeable boost since the arrival of 

artist, Damian Hirst who lives nearby. 

His giant 20 metre sculpture, Verity, 

has led to several galleries in the town 

and restaurants and cafes around the 

authentic fishing harbour. Time here for 

lunch before heading on to the village 

of Dunster, with its famous Yarn Market. 

Returning to Barnstaple with views of 

Exmoor National Park. 

DAY 5: After breakfast we head home 

with a lunch stop on route. Dropped

Close to the French border, the coastal resort of Roses lies 

on Spain’s beautiful Costa Brava in the district of Catalonia. 

The breathtaking coastline includes sandy beaches and 

intimate rocky coves but there is also a widely varying 

landscape from wetlands to the rocky region of the Cap de 

Creus with a variety of birds and wildlife. 

Roses is a modern tourist resort with an amazing history dating back 

to the Greeks and Romans, remains of which can be seen in the huge 

Citadel in the centre of the town. Along the seafront there are many 

alfresco cafes, restaurants and Tapas bars – great to relax and spend 

some time. The wide sandy beach is lined by the promenade, dotted 

with palms and pine trees and continues round the bay to the marina 

and harbour. 

This holiday includes Eurotunnel crossings and 1 overnight stop on route

Barcelona, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. Full coach

Full Day – Girona. Joined by our local guide for an excursion to the historic city

Half Day – Figures. Wonderful excursion to the birthplace of Salvador Dalí whose

Figueres is a lovely town to visit with many fine, old buildings and cobbled, tree

Porterage is provided at some of the hotels that we use. If not included it is 

usually available if required. This may incur a small additional charge which will 

need to be paid by you directly to the hotel. 

SEAT ALLOCATION 

Seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis when you book your 

holiday with us. If you have specific needs we would advise you to book as early 

as possible. We make every effort to abide by these allocations but on occasion, 

perhaps when a substitute coach is required, this may not be possible. We shall

levels of comfort, facilities and quality. When selecting your 

holiday please ensure that the quality will match your requirements. 

This is generally related to the cost of the holiday but if you have any 

specific requirements please talk to our staff who will be able to help. 

Some of our hotels have chosen not to be members of the RAC/AA and as 

such are not star rated. This is not necessarily an indication of a lower standard 

of accommodation. 

If you have special requirements please notify us as soon as possible. The hotel 

will be notified before your arrival but please remember that rooms are 

allocated by the hotels. 

Rooms for Single Occupancy are in high demand and very often are sold out. 

Some hotels charge a supplement for these rooms, the cost of which is 

indicated in this brochure. 

We try to indicate all the room and hotel facilities for each hotel within the 

information in this brochure but cannot accept liability for any alterations made 

by the hotel before our arrival. Sometimes amenities such as swimming pools 

and lifts may be out of service whilst entertainment may be curtailed, altered or 

cancelled due to hotel number. 

Hot drink making facilities are not normally available in Continental hotel 

bedrooms but are usually available at the bar/café. 

When travelling abroad, you should expect the food to be served in the national 

custom and therefore different to British cuisine. For some hotels, particularly 

overnight hotels the restaurant will serve a set menu. If, when you are at the 

hotel, you require an alternative this is normally available but may incur an 

additional cost for you. 

These days, many hotels are excellent at providing Special Diets. Please let us 

know as soon as possible so they can make preparations early. 

Many meals are taken as a group in the restaurants and usually involve sharing 

tables with 2 or more other diners in our group. 

HOLIDAY ITINERARIES AND SUITABILITY 

We pride ourselves on the planning of our holidays to provide an exciting 

and enjoyable holiday experience. Many are planned months in advance and 

may require adjustment to the itineraries due to changes at destinations or 

attractions. 

Our itineraries are displayed in the brochure and you should carefully consider 

suitability before booking your holiday. You are, of course, quite welcome not 

to join any particular excursion during your holiday. 

Provided we are informed before departure, we are happy to take manual 

walking aids and folding wheelchairs up to 15kg in weight. Unfortunately, we are 

not able to carry any electric wheelchairs or scooters, although these are often 

available to hire at the destination. 

HOLIDAY CANCELLATION 

If we have to cancel a holiday this is always done well in advance of your 

departure date and a full refund is given. 

Due to the contract obligations and financial commitments we have with hotels 

if you have to cancel your holiday you will have to pay cancellation charges. 

These are based on the following scale depending on how close to departure 

we receive your cancellation. 

More than 42 days – Deposit only 

42-28 days – 30% 

27-14 days – 45% 

13-7 days – 60% 

Less than 7 days – 100% 

However, if you do cancel more than 42 days before your departure date we will 

transfer your deposit less a £10 per person administration fee to another holiday 

currently available. 

We do advise you to take out travel insurance to cover any of your loses.
