‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels’<br />
<strong>Haddonfield</strong> Plays & Players is now in its 85th season of providing quality<br />
theater at an affordable price, while providing a creative outlet for nonprofessionals.<br />
The Players will bring Dirty Rotten Scoundrels to its Mainstage<br />
beginning Fri Jul 13 at 8pm, thru Fri Aug 3. With music and lyrics by David<br />
Yazbek and the book by Jeffrey Lane, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is based on the<br />
1988 film. The story centers around two con men living on the French Riviera.<br />
At first, the experienced Lawrence Jameson takes the rookie con man, Freddy,<br />
under his wing. But soon Freddy is successful enough that he tries to compete<br />
directly with Lawrence. The competition comes to a peak when they agree that<br />
the first con man to extract $50,000 from heiress Christine Colgate, wins, and<br />
