The combined annual general<br />

meeting for the QCWA<br />

took place last Tuesday, July<br />

10, at Crows Nest.<br />

The meeting saw women<br />

from the brancehes of<br />

Kingsthorpe, Crows Nest<br />

and Goombungee come together<br />

to discuss everything<br />

that had happened in the past<br />

year.<br />

Darling Downs division<br />

president Phoebe Mitchell<br />

said it was a year of growth<br />

and consolidation for the<br />

Crows Nest branch that had<br />

come close to seeing the end<br />

of its local CWA group in<br />

previous months.<br />

“Now we can look forward<br />

to the future and what it<br />

holds for each branch.<br />

“We are continuously<br />

looking for new young<br />

members to keep the QCWA<br />

going strong well into the future,”<br />

she said.<br />
