MEDIA FACILITIES – KETTLER CAPITALS ICEPLEX<br />
Work Room<br />
Kettler <strong>Capitals</strong> Iceplex features a media work room adjacent to the ice, near the<br />
entrance of the <strong>Capitals</strong> locker room. The work room features ethernet cables and<br />
<strong>com</strong>plimentary wireless Internet access.<br />
MEDIA ACCESS AND INTERVIEWS<br />
Practice Sessions<br />
The media has access to all team practices at all practice facilities, including game-day<br />
skates, in accordance with the <strong>NHL</strong> Media Regulations. The media is allowed to enter<br />
the team locker room five minutes after the first regular player who has participated<br />
in the entire practice leaves the ice. In the event of a team meeting, the media will be<br />
allowed access immediately following the conclusion of the meeting. The locker room is<br />
closed to the media prior to and during practice.<br />
Per <strong>NHL</strong> Media Regulations, media access at Kettler <strong>Capitals</strong> Iceplex is limited to the<br />
team’s main locker room and the entrance to the locker room. All other areas of the<br />
training center are off limits to media.<br />
<strong>Capitals</strong> game-day skates are typically held at 10 a.m. at Kettler. During the playoffs,<br />
the <strong>Capitals</strong> will offer a shuttle bus to take media downtown at the conclusion of<br />
<strong>Washington</strong>'s morning skate.<br />
Pregame<br />
The <strong>Capitals</strong> locker room is closed prior to game time, although requested players will<br />
be made available during a 30-minute window beginning two hours prior to faceoff, with<br />
priority given to broadcast rightsholders.<br />
Television networks, including rightsholders, requesting pregame interviews with a<br />
player are asked to request these times prior to or during the morning skate. Head<br />
coach Bruce Boudreau is available to the media outside the <strong>Capitals</strong>; locker room two<br />
hours prior to faceoff.<br />
Postgame<br />
The <strong>Capitals</strong> locker room will be open to working media five minutes after the<br />
conclusion of the game. Both teams' coaches and select players will attend a press<br />
conference held at the Verizon Center's basketball practice court. The visiting team<br />
coach will go first, followed by Bruce Boudreau.<br />
If the media wishes to interview a player who is not present in the locker room, contact a<br />
<strong>Capitals</strong> media relations representative who will locate the player.<br />
Video<br />
All outlets are prohibited by the National Hockey League from shooting game footage of<br />
any <strong>Capitals</strong> game being played at Verizon Center.<br />
Television and online outlets are wel<strong>com</strong>e to shoot <strong>Capitals</strong> practices, but are restricted<br />
to broadcasting five minutes of on-ice video content from any one practice. There is no<br />
limit to the length of interviews that outlets may broadcast.<br />

Players’ Personal Telephone Numbers<br />
At no time will a player’s home or mobile phone number be released to either the media<br />
or the public unless the player specifically authorizes such release. Members of the<br />
media attempting to reach players must do so through the <strong>Capitals</strong> media relations staff;<br />
failure to do so, regardless of a media member's existing relationship with a player, may<br />
result in forfeiture of credentials.<br />
Team Medical Rooms<br />
Team medical rooms located at Verizon Center, Kettler <strong>Capitals</strong> Iceplex or any other<br />
practice facility are off limits to the media at all times.<br />
Autographs<br />
Media attending <strong>Capitals</strong> practices or games are strictly forbidden from requesting<br />
autographs. Any person with a media pass observed asking players for autographs will<br />
be asked to leave and may not be granted credentials in the future.<br />
