s we start Rotary Year 2018-2019, we
also set to high gear our campaign for
the annual giving to The Rotary Foundation.
Last year, we made it as the 2nd top
contributing club in the district and the top 2
club in terms of per capita contribution.
Our banner performance
last year was made
possible mainly by the solid
efforts of PDG Manny Along, PP
Tonyboy Fernandez and all the
members who generously gave
their contributions to the TRF.
This year, we are off to a good
start since for Month to Date
July 2018 alone, we already
generated a total contribution
of $4,900 coming from:
PDG Tinnex Jaraula $2,000.00
PAG Carlo Romero $1,900.00
PAG Luigi Sarraga $ 1,000.00
As we work to surpass our total
contributions to the TRF for RY
2017-2018, let me share with
you some important facts and information
about the Rotary Foundation.
What is The Rotary Foundation?

The Rotary Foundation is the economic engine
for Rotary International. It is a nonprofit
corporation that is supported solely by
voluntary contributions from Rotarians and
friends of Rotary who share its vision of a
better world. Its sole mission is to enable
Rotarians to advance world understanding,
good will and peace through the improvement
of health, the support of education and
the alleviation of poverty. We accomplish that
through our local and international
humanitarian and educational
programs.
Due to the hard work and
generosity of Rotarians worldwide,
The Rotary Foundation
has improved lives for nearly
100 years. Thus; every year,
Rotarians around the world
are called upon to make contributions
to the annual giving
in order to to help fund programs
such as Vocational
Training, scholarships, global
grants and district grants.
The annual fund generated by
the TRF funds programs in
more than 180 countries on
seven continents. It is only
when Every Rotarian makes a
gift to the Annual Fund Every
Year will we be able to continue
to do the great work of The Rotary Foundation.
