4.7 Q2-COVERS WITH HITEX©-FIBRE CAUTION: Possible damage to the covers ⇒⇒Do not place sources of heat on the fabric (e.g. hot-water bottles, grain pillows, electric blankets). ⇒⇒Velcro straps may get hooked on the cover material when cleaning. Cover all Velcro straps to avoid hooking. DESCRIPTION Q2 fabrics are made of innovative Hitex® fibres that enable easy maintenance and cleaning of all common household stains. The upholstery fabrics are of Q2 quality: washable, easy to clean and lightfast. Skin-friendly - without chemical treatment. Practically faultless. How to remove stains from Q2-Hitex covers: Household stains containing fat and protein: ▶▶ Prepare a solution of warm water and mild detergent - for light-coloured coatings, the addition of commercially available stain removers may be helpful - and wash the stain with plenty of water. ▶▶ ▶▶ ▶▶ ▶▶ Dried, encrusted and sticky stains should be softened a little beforehand. Do not pluck, as this could damage the pile. Then remove all soap residues with plenty of clear water Wipe dry with a cloth and let the cover dry at normal air temperature, preferably overnight. After stain removal, the cleaned surface reappears in its original colour and therefore usually appears lighter than the untreated surfaces, which may still be affected by contact soiling. Clean also the other upholstery parts to get an even colour fade. Solvent-containing stains: (Pen, marker, lipstick, nail polish). ▶▶ ▶▶ ▶▶ ▶▶ ▶▶ ▶▶ Border the stain with acetone. This way, you can avoid that the stains you are removing will set somewhere else. Drizzle some acetone onto the stain and absorb with a cloth. Repeat this step until the stain is gone. Then rinse with plenty of clear water. Do not use the furniture again until the cover has completely dried. Do not scrape off/pick off encrusted stains (e.g. nail polish), otherwise the pile may be damaged.
