BUDZINSKI, Interim Chief Judge, Circuit Court of Cook County Page 45 POST BOARD ACTION AGENDA Meeting of August 9, 2001 requesting authorization for the Purchasing Agent to increase by $30,000.00, Contract No. 00-41-155 with Oak Forest Psychological Services, Oak Forest, Illinois, for services for the Adult Probation Department’s Specialized Sex Offender Program. Oak Forest Psychological Services provides assessments and treatment services for adult sex offenders sentenced to probation for aggravated criminal sexual abuse or sexual assault. Board approved amount 09-19-00: $ 30,000.00 Increase requested: 30,000.00 Adjusted amount: $ 60,000.00 Reason: The Adult Probation Department, Circuit Court of Cook County, initiated the Specialized Sex Offender Program in 1996. Offenders sentenced to the program are required to attend specialized counseling for a minimum of two years at a court-approved treatment facility. Treatment consists of in-depth assessments, weekly group counseling and, if deemed necessary, individual counseling two times per month. Oak Forest Psychological Services was previously selected through a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) process in 1999. The proposed increase is necessary due to the increased number of court-ordered referrals and covers the remaining term of the contract, expiring on November 30, 2001. ] Estimated Fiscal Impact: $30,000.00.
