Ingalls maintains high level of patient care with dedicated doctors

Dr. Akbar Rahmani became
acquainted with Ingalls
Memorial Hospital
in the late 1970s as he was
involved in his endocrinology
fellowship at Cook
County Hospital, and he
joined the Ingalls medical
staff in 1980. He now
counts more than three decades
of ongoing patient
relationships, and that
dedication to his patients
inspired his children in
their careers.
Now his son, Kaveh,
and daughter, Solmaz, are
practicing primary care in
Flossmoor and Crestwood
at Ingalls Family Care
Centers. They are among
the swelling numbers of
Rahmani medical practitioners,
which includes an
uncle and aunt, nieces and
nephews, and a younger
brother currently in medical
school.

Dr. Kaveh Rahmani has

include the treatment
of diabetes, thyroid disorders,
sports medicine and
preventing sports injuries,
osteoarthritis, nutrition
and weight loss, and overall
preventive care.

Dr. Solmaz Rahmani
enjoys caring for every
member of the family.
Dr. Rahmani believes in a

to family medicine and

She has a special
interest in women’s health
