Episode 2: Respect the sausage
Safety conscious Spartapuss has been busy raking the sand on the arena floor to
make it completely flat. Misunderstanding Spartapuss’s safety mission but wanting
to join in, Cloccus has been creating a scale model of the arena made of sand.
Gattita thinks the pair of them are mad and continues to practice her spear skills.
A team of Purrmanian battle cats arrives for the games, led by the fearsome Klawdia.
She and the team trample on Spartapuss’s ‘flat sand sector’. When Spartapuss
protests, she smashes a massive hole in the floor, wrecking his lovely flat sand.
Klawdia is about to flatten Spartapuss too, but Gatitta leaps to his rescue.
Meanwhile, fashion-conscious Catligula unveils the special uniforms he has
personally designed for the visiting team. In keeping with the Purrmanian theme,
he has replaced their swords with Purrmanian sausages! Catligula insists that they
must honour him by raising their swords in a synchronised salute. When the match
stars, Spartapuss is under pressure but the salute causes chaos. Clocuss’s sand
castle survives. Spartapuss eats the enemies’ sausages. His words of warning
come back to haunt Klawdia when the Purrmanians fall into the hole they created.
When the bell rings to announce that the match is over, Spartapuss thinks that
dinner is served but accidently smashes’ Cloccus’s sand castle masterpiece.
Catligula: “What is
Purrmania famous for?”
Purrmanian:
“Our catchy folk music?”
Klawdia:
“Our surprisingly dry
sense of humour?”
Catligula:
“Wrong! Guess again.”
Purrmanian 1”
“Er... we have a thirtymetre
high wooden pillar in
the Neuterberger forest.”
Catligula:
“No! No! No! I’m talking
about your sausages.’
