14 | August 16, 2018 | Malibu surfside news school malibusurfsidenews.com WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll honors 115 Waves Pepperdine University studentathletes earn high scores in the classroom Submitted by Pepperdine University More than 100 Pepperdine student-athletes were recognized with spots on the 17th annual West Coast Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll. The WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll pays tribute to its student-athletes that possess at least a 3.0 grade-point average. The 10 WCC schools put more than 1,450 student-athletes on the list from the 15 sports that the conference sponsored last year. Student-athletes received Gold Honors for having a GPA between 3.75 and 4.00, Silver Honors for 3.50 to 3.74 and Bronze Honors for 3.00 to 3.49. The students’ breakdown by sport is as follows: 20 members of the women’s soccer team, 18 members of the baseball team, 16 members of the women’s cross country team, 10 members of the women’s volleyball team, eight members of the beach bolleyball team, eight members of the women’s basketball team, seven members of the men’s tennis team, six members of the men’s basketball team, four members of the women’s golf team, four members of the women’s tennis team and three members of the men’s golf team.
