• Stitch a background strip to your<br />

medium dark B3 strip.<br />

• Cut to make four (4) 2½” x 4½”<br />

rectangles.<br />

Step 12<br />

• Cut from a background strip four (4)<br />

2½” x 4½” rectangles.<br />

• Stitch a background rectangle to a<br />

Step <strong>11</strong> rectangle.<br />

• Makes four (4) 4½” squares.<br />

Step 13<br />

• Stitch together the light D5 strip to<br />

the medium dark B4 strip.<br />

• Cut to make four (4) 2½” x 4½”<br />

rectangles.<br />

Step 14<br />

• With the leftover strip, stitch a dark<br />

strip (A3) along the medium dark<br />

strip.<br />

• Cut to make four (4) 2½” x 6½”<br />

rectangles.<br />

Step 15<br />

• Stitch a step 13 and step 14<br />

rectangles to a Step <strong>11</strong> square.<br />

• Makes a 6½” square.<br />

• Repeat to make 4.<br />

• Take the 1½” background strips and<br />

cut:<br />

ūū<br />

four (4) 1½” x 6½” rectangle (R1);<br />

ūū<br />

four (4) 1½” x 7½” rectangle (R2);<br />

• Stitch a R1 and R2 rectangles to a<br />

step 14 square.<br />

• Make a 7½” square.<br />

• Repeat to make four.<br />
