CA. Naveen N D Gupta, President ICAI India shared some<br />
humble beginnings of ICAI (Dubai) Chapter, first chapter<br />
out of the 31 overseas chapters which was started from 50<br />
members which has grown up to over 3000 members. The<br />
president also shared the launch of new curriculum and new<br />
strategic changes for future chartered accountants. The<br />
achievement of 10 million CPE hours program conducted<br />
by members across the nation for the last 3 years.<br />

CA. K Raghu, Past President, 2014-15 of ICAI, India, spoke<br />
about global opportunities and challenges in the profession<br />
in the era of innovation. He shared that several countries<br />
including Australia have opportunities for Indian CAs, which<br />
they must capitalize on.<br />
Shri Raja Choudhury, Film Maker and Producer of Indian<br />
Official Global Film, Celebrating International Day of Yoga,<br />
spoke about how India has given the world numerous<br />
things including the number zero and yoga.<br />
Padma Shri awardee Prof. Anil Kumar Gupta, talked about<br />
how we can bring about unleash creativity and innovation<br />
in our lives - with simple examples such as setting up of<br />
innovation groups, just like the recently organized VAT<br />
Clinics at ICAI Dubai.<br />

& Rajeev Masand Ki Pasand in his talk on Digitalisation -<br />
Adapting to Disruptive Innovation, shared how the media<br />
and film industry has undergone a significant change in the<br />
last few years. With online platforms like Netflix digitizing<br />
entertainment, users can access a wide range of content<br />
online – including TV shows, movies as well as content<br />
produced only for the online platform.<br />
H. E. Shri Vipul, The Consul General of India to Dubai shared<br />
the continuous good relationship of India and UAE. He also<br />
mentioned the last visit of Shri Narendra Modi and other<br />
several ministers of India.<br />
Mr. Jaivardhan Singh, Youngest Member of Legislative<br />
Assembly of Madhya Pradesh, spoke about innovative<br />
education and healthcare measures being undertaken in<br />
Madhya Pradesh (MP) in India, where there is a high mortality<br />
rate in children.<br />
Mr. Shridhar Venkat CEO at The Akshaya Patra<br />
Foundation The World’s Largest (Not-For-Profit)<br />
Mid-Day Meal Programme, spoke to members about<br />
the Akshaya Patra Foundation – a unique amalgamation<br />
of monks, corporates and the government that feeds over<br />
1 million school children mid-day meals every day. This<br />
makes it the largest NGO in the world doing this.<br />
Padma Bhushan Awardee Shri Arvind Panagariya, Ex Vice<br />
Chairman, NITI Aayog & Professor at Columbia University<br />
USA, joined the stage for a Q&A on “India on the Road to<br />
Prosperity and Global Power Status”. Shri Arvind Panagariya<br />
shared that for 4 years, during Prime Minister Narendra Modi<br />
term, India economy has an average growth of 7.3%.<br />
Padma Bhushan Awardee Shri S Ramadorai, Ex Advisor to<br />
The Prime Minister of India In The National Council of Skill<br />
Development, Ex CMD Of TCS & Chairman of Air Asia India<br />
said “Chartered Accountants have a crucial role to play in<br />
ensuring both ethical governance and sustainable growth<br />
in the economy”.<br />
