THIRD day
From Llahuar to San Juan de Chuccho.
8:00am. Enjoy breakfast and then we start the trek
again to the place called Oasis- Sangalle and ending in
San Juan de Chuccho.
This trek will take about 7 to 8 hours; walking through
amazing landscapes, observing different types of wild
plants and geological structures. First we will be walking
up and pass through the little village of Paclla and have
the most impressive view of the Canyon from the
Apacheta lookout point. Then we’ll arrive to a place
called the Oasis-Sangalle, where we will have a break to
enjoy our lunch. We keep forward crossing in our route
the towns of Cosnihua and Malata and observing the
unique landscape of the Colca area.
We will arrive to the town of San Juan de Chuccho
ending the afternoon. A good rewarding rest and
dinner will be in this town.

Fourth day
Walking up to Cabanaconde – Chivay town.
The next morning, we should leave at 4:00 AM, after
having a nutritious breakfast to start the ascent,
crossing to the other side of the river Colca and
walking up for a route that’ll lead us out of the Canyon.
This epic hike will look harder than it is, but it should not
be underestimated. On the way up, if we are lucky, we
can observe some condors as it is quite early.
We will arrive around 8:30/9:00AM in San Miguel, just
outside of Cabanaconde town where we will meet our
driver and transport and then join again the Colca
classic tour group.
On the way back to Chivay we’re going to visit the
traditional village of Pinchollo and the “Antahuilque
viewpoint”, where a 1,500 year old terraces, can be
observed. We also will make a stop at the look-out point
of “Choquetico” with its hanging tombs “Tumbas
colgantes“, and take a look to the litomaqueta, a model
of the canyon terraces carved in a rock. We will
continue visiting Maca and the village of Yanque with the
most beautiful church in the valley.
Lunch in Chivay town (Cost of Lunch is not included in
program) and return to Arequipa city.
Arrive in Arequipa around 4:00PM.

Transfer from Chivay town to Puno city on Lake Titicaca.
