III 42 – The third generation of the<br />
high performance Damascus steel<br />
forged out of the barrel of the German<br />
battle tank Leopard I. For the first<br />
time our Damascus forger welds two<br />
more steels with the battle tank steel.<br />
The extremely hard to treat material is<br />
welded with over 300 layers to create<br />
these unique blades. The result is a<br />
hardness of 60-61° HRC <strong>and</strong> superior<br />
cutting capabilities. The h<strong>and</strong>le is made<br />
of CNC machined AlMgSi1 aluminum<br />
<strong>and</strong> is hardcoat-anodized, contrasting<br />
nicely with the Grenadill wood insets.<br />
The clip can be reversed for tip-up or<br />
tip-down carry. Liner lock mechanism.<br />
