The Playhouse presents “The Woman in Black,”<br />

based on Susan Hill’s acclaimed ghost novella of the<br />

same name, adapted by the late playwright Stephen<br />

Mallatratt. It is the story of a man obsessed with the<br />

belief that his family has been cursed by a ghostly<br />

woman in black, and he tells his story to exorcise the<br />

fear that grips him. It opens at 8 p.m. Wednesday and<br />

continues at 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays (no<br />

performance Oct. 18), 2 and 8 p.m. Saturdays and 2<br />

and 7 p.m. Sundays through Nov. 11. Tickets are $25<br />

and up. In addition, special Halloween packages are<br />

available Oct. 30 and 31, including special seating, a<br />

free drink before the show and a haunted tour of the<br />

Playhouse following the performances. Prices for the<br />

Halloween package are $125 and up.<br />
